The question now is will they be able to keep their own character, or will Vince fuck this up like Colt Cabana. He better not mess with Nigel F'n McGuinness

Let's face it. Even if Colt kept his chracter he would have been nothing more than a Santino Marella clone.

Santino can somewhat wrestle, not the caliber of Colt, but much more than he's able to showcase at the moment.

Wow.....that's a first. Vince actually listening to people who tell him that these guys are already ready or is he trying to show the indy guys that they're not ready for the big stage? time will tell.

Kind of sick of these kind of comments.
No one expects these guys to come in and win the WWE Championship in their first appearance, but I feel like I can't get excited about two guys I loved in ROH getting a chance in the big leagues, without being called a fanboy.
What's the appropriate reacting here that wont get me called a "smark" "fanboy" ?

Am I only supposed to get excited for nameless guys that get called up from FCW?
I'm looking forward to Jim Foster getting called up to the main roster.
I'm looking forward to Tedious' long winded reply about how he hates ROH fans.

Kind of sick of these kind of comments.
And I'm kind of sick of hearing tons of drooling hype over some bland sacks of crap, when experience has taught me that their introduction will be followed by immediate crying by their fanbase for their not being "used properly," and then predictable bitching when they're released.
However, I'm very happy to hear they're going to bypass developmental. That'll lead to far less jacking off by ROH lovers waiting for them to show up on TV, and it also means less time until they either find a place in WWE or have their asses Future Endeavored.

I don't hate ROH fans, I hate masturbating ROH fans who expect me to believe that they're going to produce these fantastic performers, when the biggest star they've produced is CM Punk, and my feelings towards him are well documented.

Well you should hope that there are threads with people bitching. Without them, what would you with all your time? Good lord, obviously you don't care for these guys, we get the point. Do you offer anything at all relevant to this board. Every post I read of yours is just useless trolling. If someone starts an appreciation thread for Cena, guess what? I don't post, as I don't like Cena. Why is this so hard to understand?
Well all know you hate it, i don't see the point in you having to state as much in EVERY ROH thread.

Yeah, my comment was aimed at the borderline retarded 'OMG WHYYYYY THEY WILL BE IN DEVELOPMENT WWE ISNT WRESTLING SATAN HAS RISEN' ROH fuckwits. I have all the time in the world for both Danielson and Nigel (Nigel especially)
For the record, 'getting sick of these kind of comments' on TPWW and "confronting" them is like arguing rationality with a Zeeboe or a Kane86. It's been done before and it'll be done again but it's utterly redundant and won't make a bit of difference because some people will always think the same way.

Nope. This means the higher ups in WWE think enough of their abilities for them to bypass the farm territory. Their abilities speak for themselves, and I'm sure guys like Regal can vouch for both Nigel and Bryan.

The next time I let anyone on the message board effect what I get excited or happy about will be the first time....
That being said I'm excited to see Nigel McGuinness and Bryan Danielson wrestle at ROH on 9/26, and I'm also excited about seeing how far they can go in the big leagues. They may main event like CM Punk or they might get cast aside quickly like Colt Cabana, but I look foward to it either way.
If Nigel and Danielson are given a legit shot and don't get over with a mass audiance that'll be fine, but if they get a raw deal (like Colt Cabana) and get tossed aside I'll complain about the WWE wasting an oppertunity. They truth of the matter is that Nigel and Danielson aren't sacks of crap, they're both incredible wrestlers and I think they can go a long way given the chance.
I'm not going to let anyone temper my enthusiasm or tell me that I can state my opinion because it will annoy someone else. Just as I wouldn't take away from Tedious or any other ROHater they're ability to make as many threads or posts stating why they hate the indy circut.
Like I said the next time I let someone on here temper my enthusiasm will be the first.
So I'm excited...
...just like a loyal little "fan boy" as you put it.
Heaven forbid a "fan" gets fan-atic about something.
What Would Kevin Do?

I doubt they'll get kicked to the curb like Colt... Nigel definitely won't. Nigel has the best chance out of all of them. He's the same height as Punk, with a better build, a good look, and great skill. I love Colt, but he never fit WWE's image. Nigel and Danielson are both "fit" and look like athletes. Colt looked more unconventional. Not in shape enough to be the athlete, not big enough to be the fat threat (Umaga), he just sorta fell into the middle.

I can see Nigel doing alot better than Danielson. Nigel is a better promo guy and has a better look. i can see an IC/U.S reign in his future. I don't see Bryan's WWE career going well. To people to aren't aware of his past, he looks kinda bland.

I'm betting Bryan Danielson surprises people by how effective he is in the WWE. Just going to make that prediction now. If I'm wrong, I'm wrong, but I've got a good feeling. That the WWE are letting these guys bypass FCW is obviously a good sign. The WWE obviously believes that these guys are "ready," and that they are very talented.
I can't see the WWE putting enough faith in the guys to skip development, only to be like "Oh yeah, we're going to fuck around with you now."

While I'm not going to say that Danielson has got a tremendous look, or anything, Danielson really played into being bland. If he decides to grow his hair, and change his attire, or whatever, he could go a long way to shedding that image.

He kind of looks like William Regal. Now, if you give flashier attire, and a big entrance with perhaps some pyro and a nice ring jacket -- I don't see what is especially bland about him.
I remember when people thought Steve Austin was bland in WCW.

How does Shawn Michaels feel about Bryan Danielson? I've heard that he speaks highly of him, but does HBK consider him the best to come out of his school, or anything? HBK has helped out Lance Cade and Brian Kendrick in the past. I'm willing to bet that he'll do the same thing for Danielson.
I can also see Bryan Danielson using his real name, to be honest. A lot of Shawn Michaels' students have gotten away with it. Nigel McGuinness might be "Nigel *something British*".

At the end of the day, it doesn't matter too much how these guys do. If they don't do well, they'll go back to ROH and other indy feds and put on great matches, and if they do well, it'll be some great tv.
