How does it compare to Sing The Sorrow and everything before it? Decemberunderground was a huge disappointment for me and I'm hoping this shit is different.

Honestly, it feels like Crash Love picks up where Sing the Sorrow left off. It doesn't have the electronica influence that Decemberunderground did.

ok so i've only listened to Torch Song and i already like this 9789098098 times more than decemberunderground

honestly that is the only AFI album that i never ever listen to. except for Love Like Winter which is the only song that i like enough to put on randomly.

I'm just glad they got all that electronica out of their system with Decemberunderground and Blaqk Audio.

I saw them at Leeds Festival last month. Only for about 30 minutes, and I was high on MDMA, Not really my cup of tea usually, but they were suprisingly good live, and they played 3 songs off Crash Love, all 3 of which were nice little bangers.

Then we went to see Deadmau5.... But that's a different story.

Me and a friend got into a pretty heated debate the other day over AFI. He has completely disowned AFI because he says they sold out on this album and are now only in it for the money. He says the music is fake now. I know it's just his opinion, but God I wanted to punch him in the face.

I'm really hesitant to listen to this album, mainly because I'm an old school AFI fan and my favorite albums are Very Proud Of Ya and Answer That And Stay Fashionable.

I was a fan of Sing The Sorrow but I didn't even bother listening to anything released after that after hearing Miss Murder.

Someone persuade me to give this album a chance.

I feel you, my favorite AFI stuff was from back then too, but what I like about this is that it kinda has a Sing the Sorrow feel to it. Nothing at all like Decemberunderground, if that helps.

if your friend was going to make that argument he could have made it on Sing the Sorrow when they went to a major label. kind of late to be jumping on that bandwagon. that being said, i just can't get into this. i don't agree with the "they sold out" mentality, i just don't dig the sound of it. they lost me completely on Decemberunderground and it's gonna be hard to get me back.
