View Full Version : Carlito Colon
So every time Carlito debuts on a WWE show he wins a title. For example, when he debuted on Smackdown! he won the U.S title defeating Cena and after being drafted to Raw, he won the prestigious Intercontinental strap.
So I was wondering if you guys dig the idea of Carlito shifting to the third brand in the near future and making it BIG! :naughty:
Feel free to post your valuable comments, Cheers!

What would I think about Carlito being moved to ECW and winning the title on his first night there? I guess it could be OK, but I wouldn't mark out or anything.
Honestly, he has won shit loads of gold in the WWE and we all know that he is not at the WHC/WWE title level so it would be best to thank him (with the ECW title) for hanging around.

Eh, it would be pretty cool. I like Carlito. He's a good ring talent, and he has a lot of personality. He's won every single championship outside the World Title scene, so it might be time to find a way to move him up the cards a bit. A move to ECW, where he can go after a World Title within reach, win it, and then bolster his credibility for one of the other two brands could be ideal.

As long as he maintains his current brooding heel status, I don't care what they do with him.

Some matches with Christian would actually be really good, come to think of it. :y:

I wouldn't mind it, but I'd rather see guys like Regal win a "major" title before Carlito
I don't think I'd like it tbh. I think Carlito was given too much, too soon as it is/was. Carlito really hasn't amounted to much even after those huge debut wins (and many more title reigns since). You might put that down to the way he has been booked but I think that also comes down to the general bad attitude he's reported to have. Perhaps if they hadn't given him those initial big wins he wouldn't have picked up the attitude.
There are plenty of other guys that deserve a shot/rub/step up. Like has been said I'd rather a guy like Regal win the ECW Title. Or a guy like Christian step up to World Title level. Personally I'd prefer to see guys like Zack Ryder, Helms, Swagger, Bourne, MVP, Shelton, etc get a bump up over Carlito.

He's been around for....what?....four years? How much of that time has he spent being upset about his role in the company and phoning in his ring work when he's unhappy? Wasn't he even actually on the way out of the company at one point? What exactly is there to thank Carlito for?
Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of a motivated Carlito, but he has hardly done anything at all to warrant a title win as a 'thank you'.
He does seem laid back as of late. He did have some really nice matches against the likes of Randy Orton, Jeff Hardy, Morrison/Nitro & Benjamin...and some of his backstage segments pretty funny IMO. But he got lame afterward. :(

He got lame as a "please think I'm funny" face.

I like the way he plays his current heel character. He's growing as a performer, in my opinion. He's just not on a show to really highlight that. If not an ECW Title win, I would not be opposed to him going to SmackDown! and getting a second Intercontinental Title reign.

Go to ECW, team up with Burchill, Unified Tag Team Champions.

I can't say I've ever liked the guy. I was a huge fan around the time of his debut, mostly because of his kick-ass promos and defeat of Cena, but since then he's hung around doing not a whole lot of anything.
He's either a lame face, or a half-assed heel. To be anywhere near the top of the pile he needs a total transformation not unlike Eric Young in TNA. His current direction is already going stale because I've seen the same thing from him several times in the last four years. He's not a bad wrestler though.

Yeah...Eric Young has been awesome lately.

Carlito and Primo's feud got shafted, by the way. They pretty much had a three-minute match on RAW. Both guys deserve better.

I really think the fact that nobody cared played a factor in their "feud".

The fans were actually pretty into Carlito and Primo. Plus, part of people caring is them being given a reason to. A proper feud between the brothers when they split up would have been much better than nothing at all.
Right now, I actually wouldn't mind seeing them put back together as a tag team. Let them bicker and occasionally wrestle each other, but ultimately the best place for them right now is together. The WWE seems to like Carlito, and want to use him, but there's just no room for him right now, and his attitude does put up barriers (apparently). Primo is still very young, and has a good reputation, but has a lot of growing to do. Teaming with his brother suited him perfectly.

I knew you'd say that.
