Anyone else pick this up? It's pretty awesome.

Got it when it came out, and I agree, it is pretty damn awesome.

It's ok. The controls, as many publications have noted, are quite terrible. And with so many items in the game, its more frequent than you would like that items don't interact the way that you would wish them to.

I would really like in the future if they allowed players to make their own submissions to be approved to be downloaded in updates for free, and could be edited and such. Would required a lot of moderation, but would be pretty awesome too.

They should go through the dictionary and add every single word. It must be a nightmare to localize this game in different regions.

22,800+ words is not bad. I've got it on my PC, but still haven't transferred it to my Cyclo.

Yeah, that's the only real complaint I have. The controls and collision physics are a bit wonky. Still having a blast with it, though.

And I think the only thing really holding it back from hi-res ports is the input options. I think it would fair decently on XBLA and PSN, if not for the lack of keyboard add-ons.

Cool concept, executed terribly. 22800 words, 5 useful items and then 22795 types of flowers. Even if you want to try something that varies from the norm, just about every time it won't work.

A deal for anyone in the UK:
GAME are selling Scribblenauts for a fiver if you trade in Mario Kart DS, NSMB or one of a few other DS games. Only until the 15th of October, though.
I'll be trading in Mario Kart DS, then.

I picked this up yesterday. Not bad. The controls aren't as bad as I thought they'd be. The controls have cost me a few times, though.
I really want to create levels but I can't make conditions. I can make a simple "Reach the Starite" level but not one like "Kill the zombies to get the Starite". Is it possible to do that or is it always just the simple "Reach the Starite" style levels we can make?

Some cool little things worth mentioning. In level 5-1 (puzzle level) scroll the camera down. You'll eventually see Cthulu swimming around. It would have been cool if it wasn't the most overused creature in review and previews.
type in "teleporter" and use it. You'll get warped to the Fifth Cell studio. if you type in Fifth Cell, you get the logo. Use the teleporter again once you return to the main menu and you'll eventually end up in a scenario that looks alot like Indiana Jones.

Anyway, the game is fun and addictive. Controls aren't perfect but not as bad as everyone makes them out to be. If anyone doesn't have it yet, I'd recommend you pick it up.
