Seriously sick of hearing smark douchebags bitch about him going for bigger opportunities.

Yes, he should only wrestle on a trampoline in his backyard. That sell-out!

I'm tired of them assuming he's going to be pushed to the moon right out of the gate. You know that if he debuts on ECW (which is a possibility) they'll be saying he's done for. I'd rather see a slow build for him through ECW to SmackDown! than a "push him down your throat" approach.

yeah, fuck him for wanting health insurance.

If they build him up on ECW (which has been incredible for new talents) I think he could get over and have a lengthy career in the wwe. If it doesn't work out, he can just raise his price tag on the indies. I don't see how this could be a bad idea for him at all.

Danielson debuts on ECW, fueds with let's say Goldust, beats him and moves on to fued with Reks, beats him, then becomes ECW champ after maybe 6-8 months? Holds the strap and gets drafted to SD for arguments sake where he will either be buried like countless others or begin a slow build to ME status. Time shall tell. Either way, I'll just enjoy watching him "entertain" us on tv.

Obvious parallels are to be drawn with Punk. Danielson is going to come into ECW with a little bit of hype and a lot of smark reaction. He'll probably have some sort of undefeated streak, and end up champion within a year. After that, he's only going up.

I'm not saying he'll be world champion - unlike Punk he won't have the benefits of a killer gimmick and impeccable timing (i.e. Punk in, Jeff out), but he'll do well. Future tag champ or IC/US champion for certain. :y:

Danielson should definitely debut as a face

I imagine it will help if they debut him in Philly or NYC.

Didn't they have a PPV named that once before?

Xero
10-01-2009, 04:52 PM
Well, it was an In Your House subtitle. The first Buried Alive match.

Ermaximus

Ahhh that's why it sounded familiar. Thanks Xero. IMO, WWE should rename a PPV to Buried Alive and make it nothing but jobbers and mid-carders. It can be their time to shine and feel important! Imagina Festus or Jimmy Wang Yang being on a PPV, that isn't the Royal Rumble, let alone being in a main event at one.

Would you be shocked if Nigel and Bryan are packaged together as a tag team? The rumour was that Danielson was going to tag with TBK before Kendrick imploded.

Nigel is such a ridicilous name.

He should sport a snob englishman gimmick.

Why isn't WWE going to ruin him, has he already been fired?

It's not really that implausible that he'll be buried deeper than the mole men much like the very talented Colt Cabana but we should really give them some credit. If they deem him 'marketable' he'll get the push some of us thing he deserves.

Danielson should definitely debut as a face

Why? Danielson is a bland face that 'got over' on his abilities. With the way he looks, that alone will not be good enough for the WWE audience. He's much more marketable as a heel.

He will be built just like CM Punk.

The way I look at it is...

If he gets a push when he gets to the WWE... GOOD

If he doesn't get pushed then eventually he'll be fired and then he'll wind up back in ROH... Still GOOD

I hope for Danielson's sake that he gets pushed and does some good things in the WWE. I think he'll get his oppertunity to get over which is all a fan can ask for.

For a second I thought this is what this thread was going to be about.

Here's how I look at it. If he doesn't get pushed, like already said, he can always go back to the indy scene, and make money. If he does get pushed, I do see him getting the Punk treatment, as he doesn't have the marketable look or gimmick of Punk. However, what he does have, is the very rare understanding of ring psychology, and work ethic between those ropes. While I don't see him being the next Rock or Austin, or even to a lesser degree, the next HBK or Bret, if he works hard enough, he could, with enough hard work, be the next Benoit or Guerrero.

Well, not in that aspect, more in the fact that he's someone that alot of people thought had alot of talent, but would never make it as a world champion.

So we could just assume his name could possibly be added to the increasingly long list of others who were hopefuls but got more or less tucked under the rug?

Bryan probably knows what he's doing. I remember him blogging about how he was making more money on the indies than the WWE would offer him to start out working for them.

Maybe he's got a good contract?

I think it's cause he has good health coverage now that he's with the WWE.
