» According to sources, the feeling in TNA is that if there is a major change coming within the creative team that it wouldn’t take place until after the Bound For Glory PPV on October 18. Vince Russo, has already written everything up until October. While we have heard this in the past, there were talks between TNA and Hulk Hogan several weeks ago and if he were to come in that could spell the end for Russo. During a recent appearance on Bubba The Love Sponge, Hogan talked about trying to make something happen with TNA and how Dixie Carter needed to get rid of Russo. According to a source, the Hogan-TNA talks have cooled over though.

» In regards to the TNA releases of B.G. James and Jim Cornette several weeks ago, more people were said to be surprised about the release of Cornette. While both James and Cornette were considered “Jarrett allies”, Cornette was always heavily praised backstage and was looked at as being safe when the cuts took place with Dutch Mantel and Savio Vega. While the release of James wasn’t a surprise, he was praised for his work as an agent on the road for TNA. Cornette’s major role with TNA was as an agent at TV and PPV tapings and he was always praised heavily, especially among the younger talent. He was also given praise for his role in booking meetings and given the credit for tweaking written segments that would produce a solid end result and a good direction for the company. In doing so he was in a sense making fun of the poor writing by Vince Russo and almost showing him up. While Cornette was strongly praised for his work in the booking aspect, he always made it clear he didn’t have any interest in taking on more of a role and didn’t want the added stress that comes with the job. His major project was Matt Morgan at TV and working out matches that on paper looked extremely difficult to pull off (one example of this was Hernandez vs. “Big” Rob Terry at the Hard Justice PPV).

im not interested in seeing hogan wrestle again but if it means getting rid of russo then i will dust off my red and yellow ripped t-shirt and start hulking up brother

Vince Russo is like a cockroach, you can never get rid of it

by this report, the same can be said about Hogan ;)

I wish internet fans were given a chance to put their money where their mouth is, because I think they would find that being a writer is not always so cut and dry as they think. I do know that Hogan probably would not be worth much in the ring as far as draw after his first few matches took place. Either way, I don't think anyone here knows what they want, because we all seem to crap all over Russo and yet he is the reason that AJ Styles is now champion, something a lot of people have wanted for awhile.

Russo is shit not matter what he does. He's done a great deal of damage to TNA and if bringing Hogan in means Russo leaving, I'm all for it.

When the company is choosing between Vince Russo and Hulk Hogan as booker, it wouldn't matter if they got The Rock and Austin to make their returns on the same night. The company is so fucked.

I want to like TNA. I want to watch great wrestling with storylines that aren't retarded. I'm not asking for super-serious angles and nothing but, I'm just asking that the fourth wall not be broken with "powers that be" crap and that David Assquette doesn't win the World Heavy-weight Title.

I am sure there are e-wrestling Fed-heads that could do a better job of booking TNA than Vince Russo.

It's a shame that Jim doesn't want the role, because he could definitely make it happen. I mean, he was making gold out of shit as an agent.

Also, I like TNA and want it to do well. There is a wealth of talent there that can really get big. While I'm admittedly not a fan of Russo, TNA has been making strides the past month or so. I don't think getting rid of Russo will solve anything, really.

With Dutch Mantel out of the booking and Russo with full power Impact has been alot better. Russo has always focused on trying to make new stars and part of the reason Cornette left was over a dispute of Eric Young getting a push.In my opinion Russo doesnt deserve most of the flack he gets.
