Blade Runner

Obviously Han Solo will make a lot of lists, and it's a great role, but I think in terms of pure, unadulterated Ford, you get more bang for your buck with the three films I've mentioned.

American Graffiti deserves a nod as well.

You need to include a list of all his films in these things to remind us

Actually he was Air Force 1  the coolest film of all time.

Empire Strikes Back
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Star Wars: A New Hope

I didn't want to use 2 star wars movies, but they're just that damn good. If I were to ommit one for the sake of diversity, I'd ommit Star Wars: A New Hope. In it's place I'd probably put Blade Runner

The Fugitive

I only wanted to use one Star Wars and one Indy. And I ALMOST put Air Force One in there. He kicked ass in that one.

He did kick ass but the movie is fairly awful. I tried watching it recently, and despite my love for Ford, and Gary Oldman, it just wasn't cutting it.

Fugitive is a top shelf flick though. Gotta give a nod to Witness here. Suprised it hasn't come up

I'm using all 3 of my votes for Air Force One.

The last Indiana Jones!

Surviving an atomic bomb explosion in a fridge! Who the fuck came up with that is beyond me. Also, aliens helping him defeat the commies. WOW!

I didn't mind the aliens at all, given everything else that happened in the previous three movies. They were a departure from the traditional treasure-seeking genre, but I thought that the story made them work.

As for the atom bomb, in terms of action it is ridiculous. But Indy would know about the lead in a fridge and the comedy of the scene afterward made it worth it.

If I never own this movie it won't be because I think it's a bad Indy. It will be because I already own the box set with Bonus Material set. I have contemplated chucking the Bonus Material DVD and buying Crystal Skull and making a custom boxed set. Dunno.

Tbf Last Crusade could also be in there, but having two of any one franchise would be a bit of a 'cop out'

I really enjoyed Crystal Skull. It's probably the worst of the 4 if I had to rank them, but not by any large margin. Plus that doesn't in any way make it bad.

I thought the aliens/russians/atom bomb/greasers/flying saucer/etc. fit in perfectly with the 1950s setting, which was brilliant because it fits perfectly in an accurate timeline.

I thought the reversed father/son storyline was great, and I really dug the explanation of the Raiders warehouse.
Best part of the movie for me was all the stuff in the middle with the college campus, and that temple dig site at night.

Only real things I could have done without were some of the questionalbe CGI shots, and the monkey swinging scene. Really not gonna let a few arbitrary moments ruin what was a great time.

I have the dvd, and I didn't make a custom box set but you could easily do that. You can just ditch that bonus features case, and put the disc in with one of the movies.
