UFC NEWS: TUF 8 fighter Junie Browning arrested in Nevada; cut by the UFC

One of the most infamous cast members to come out of The Ultimate Fighter series took another turn for the negative late Tuesday night, as oft troubled lightweight Junie Browning was arrested in Henderson, NV, accused of assaulting three nurses at St. Rose Dominican Hospital, Siena campus.

The original report of the arrest came from the Las Vegas Review Journal.

According to Henderson police in the report, the 24 year old Browning was taken to St. Rose by two friends after taking "16 pills of Klonopin, an anti-anxiety drug, in an attempt to harm himself."

The police report states he became angry and tried to leave, which is when he pushed a female nurse, punched one male nurse and kicked another before screaming to surrounding nurses, "Do you know who I am? I will kill you and rape your family."

He now faces three counts of battery on a health care provider.

But that's not all for Browning. Upon hearing of his arrest, UFC President Dana White terminated his contract with the UFC, according to a report from Kevin Iole at Yahoo! Sports.

White told Iole, "Obviously, I'm very disappointed. I haven't heard anything regarding Junie where he's acted up or been bad in a long time. You could tell on the show he had issues... He was given an amazing opportunity, but he has some serious issues that are beyond me and what I can do. I'm there for guys and I realize nobody is perfect and guys are going to get into trouble. When that happens, I want to try to help and do something for them. But he needs more help than I can give him. I did what I could for him."

When asked if the UFC would help try to assist in finding care for Browning, White responded "He's an adult. He'll figure it out."

You know, Junie Browning had that train wreck appeal to him. I could pay to watch him lose, because it never got old.

As it stands, he's an idiot and he needs to get his shit straight. I wouldn't be shocked to hear he dies of a drug overdose in the next 3 years.

Also, I think Dana should have had him check into rehab. His reply sounds like pre-Eddie Guerrero Vince.

I couldn't stand that prick.

Also what pisses me off, is that he got to train with people like Randy and this is how he acts?? Some other guy would've loved that honour and made the most of the opportunity.

I hope him and his worthless piece of a shit brother get fucked in the ass by Cactus Sid.

Nice to see Dana has some type of support system in place. LOL. Junie needs help, big time and him being a fighter isn;t where he needs to be right now, but you'd think Dana would offer some type of concil for him. "He's an adult...." doesn't cut it, the guy is deperate for mental aid. Now I'm not saying dana drops everything and pours all his resources into Junie, but at least offer him something, a fricken' phone call and the name of a specialist maybe along with hope of re-signing should he get past these demons.

Someone shoulda tazed Junie
