Did Vegeta and Goku ever have their final battle? Or was Majin Vegeta the last time him and Goku fought,

Yeah that was the last one.

Yeah. Once the Buu saga ended, that's more or less when GT started and Goku and Vegeta never really fought each other again. In fact, you don't see Vegeta all that often in GT, but that could be said about a lot of characters in GT.

Thats shitty they should have ended the series with goku vs vegeta.

GT pretty much ruined the DB universe for me. Most of the stuff they did made absolutely no damned sense.

Dragonball z/gt has never been known for great plot and character development tho.

GT wasn't really great period, that least it isn't cannon.

GT wasn't even done by Toriyama, so there goes your "canon" anyway.

I did like the Super Android #17 saga from GT. but that's about it

I agree, Super 17 was good, the rest was poorly done.

The Shadow Dragons saga had more potential but it seemed like it was just rushed so they could be done with it

In fact I would have restructured the Z saga after frieza was defeated since Vegeta and piccolo get warped back to earth. After Vegeta trains in the 100X gravity thing Vegeta tries to take over earth and beats up piccolo until piccolo fuses with Kami and have them be pretty even then. Then move into the android saga

I thought that the bebi saga could have been great if it was fleshed out and as long as a typical z arc. As it stands, it's still fun tho.

I still buy the new box sets they release out of nostalgia. I still love the art style, soundtrack(original), and the fights, but man is it ever hard to swallow the actual story, now that I've seen so many other better shows. Even stuff like naruto and bleach is miles ahead of it in terms of plot and characters.

No doubt in my mind that dragonball z's success is completly due to Toriyama's awesome art style and character design. Dragonball still holds up pretty well tho.

The absurdness of the plot is what makes it so great. Although the Majin Buu saga was pretty much the exact same thing as the Cell saga. They really couldn't top Cell as far as making a villian that was so strong that you couldn't even comprehend it really. I didn't really like the fusion stuff at all.

I loved Buu. Wasn't a fan of Fat Buu, but as the arc went along he was badass.

After vegeta, everyone was a cookie cutter villain. Even Vegeta was standard villain fare until the freeza saga when you learn his backstory and he gains a little bit of depth.

But like I said, that's not what dbz is about and it's still easy to enjoy it for everything else.

You realize that 90% of what DrA has said over the past two years has been a great big joke, right?

Something about individuals being so strong that they transcend the supposed physics of their stupid universes intrigues me. The only character I can think of in any media that is stronger than Goku is Dr. Manhattan.

I believe the original story about DBZ/GT was only supposed to go up to Freiza saga and then end based on how Toriyama "kills off" Goku at the end of it. Then I think the studio or manga producers wanted more and ended up paying him more money to continue. It sort of explains why the whole Super Saiyan part gets confusing on who can be one as the sagas go on.

Same way as how he quit the Dragon Ball movie because he didn't like the story , he didn't want nothing to do with GT since by then the whole Goku story was running out of ideas of what to do.

Gertner my friend. This isn't the wrestling forum. No one is going to spazz out and feed your flames.

Also, you are a pro wrestling fan. Stop living in denial of your nerdiness.

Yeah I really think that's the most interesting thing about the show for me.

If you line up every super hero, Comic, TV, movie, and whatever else kind of here there is... Goku will destroy everyone of them.

I really like that.

I'm going to do a mega bump on this, i was gonna make a new thread but sod it.

I used to love Dragonball Z when it was on TV here in the UK. First it was on Cartoon Network before migrating over to Toonami.

Anyway, Dragonball Z had a couple of different intro's, like Rock the Dragon which people say was the main intro/song. However i am asbolutely positive that after the Rock the Dragon, a NEW intro was devised.

I can't find sweet fuckall about this intro what so ever. Many years ago i asked around, and could not find anything on it. I've checked Youtube, but again, its like this version never existed.

I can't remember the lyrics, or even if it DID have lyrics. I think this intro started in or around the Cell-Games Saga and up through to the end of DBZ.

Heeeelp.

So again, its not Rock the Dragon or ANY of the Japanese-edition ones. I particularly remember the intro NOT having the Dragon as the intro began.

It was about 6-7 years ago though, so i'd have to see it for myself to know... Youtube clips plx!

While i was looking around i found this:

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/zzyfR5CkVFQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/zzyfR5CkVFQ&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

The ending of it, where Goku turns Super Saiyan with the gang around him is definately in the clip i am talking about, however the music/theme is not the one i am looking for. Its the right direction though. The above clip is focusing mostly on the Frieza saga, so the Cell one is quite a while away.

FOUND IT. That was pretty hard work :D

<object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/7pK_98U_A8s&hl=en_GB&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/7pK_98U_A8s&hl=en_GB&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>

Seriously. That has taken me years to find. Need to find a better quality one now though...

That is without a doubt one of our worst exports EVER, our Dragonball one(first 2006 re-airing not the following or the original 1992 one) was just as bad. Here's all 3 and judge for yourselves.
