i made a thread when their last cd came out and i think it got 0 repsonses. but they have a new one coming out on vagrant records. it may already be out i don't know and don't want to check because it's obviously already leaked. fucking love it. i didn't mind A Natural Death (their last one) but it just didn't hit me as hard as The Mechanical Hand (the one before that) which is one of my favorite cds. it was produced by jamie stewart of xiu xiu, who also does some vocals on "shapeshift." anyway, here is shapeshift. my favorite song on there is probably "the failure of all things" but i'm about the whole thing right now.

I haven't heard/seen HORSE The Band in years. I haven't listened to anything except the first demo/lp. I am intrigued though.

oh dude if r. borlax is the last full length that you heard you need to get your hands on their newer stuff. they've definitely progressed into a pretty unstoppable beast.

How is their sound? I'm assuming it's still as bad ass as ever?

produced better, as you would expect being 4 albums in. but it's still heavy on the nintendoesque synth and metal guitar riffs. they don't rip off as many direct riffs from video games as they did on r. borlax, but that's irrelevant. they're hard and heavy and nate's vocals are supreme. definitely give The Mechanical Hand a download if you've got a chance. the more i listen to this new album, though, the more and more i like it.

Oh shit, Horse The Band is still around? I'm pretty sure I was listening to them back in high school! Freakin' sweet! I gotta scope out the youtube vids after work!
