He's such a piece of shit.

Here is the latest on the sale of Ric Flair’s NWA Title. As it turns out, Highspots.com may not be able to sell the belt because of a third party that has the rights to it. It turns out that Flair had previously used the title as collateral on another loan that has not been paid back. Flair and Matthews (North Carolina corporation Conbraco Industries, Inc) jointly filed a secured loan through a Universal Commercial Code (UCC) document. This document created a lien against Flair’s property, which would prevent him from selling it off without first settling the debt with Conbraco. Conbraco contacted Highspots to inform them of their agreement with Flair, and that they could legally pursue any money raised from the sale of the belt to pay off Flair’s debt. Highspots has removed the auction from their website.

The following items were listed as collateral in the agreement with Conbraco:

* Flair’s NWA championship belt (specifically listed as original)
* Flair’s WCW championship belt (specifically listed as replica)
* Flair’s “wrestling robes, trunks, and boots”
* Flair’s “Wrestling Hall of Fame ring”
* Flair’s “Presidential Rolex, inscribed with “To Be The Man.”
* Flair’s “framed magazine covers, which include his likeness.”
* A 4×3 autographed poster of Michael Jordan
* A 4×3 autographed poster of Vince McMahon and Flair.
* A framed, personalized Kevin Green jersey.
* Commercial claims arising from a previous lawsuit Flair was involved with.
* Additional “proceeds and products.”

He's selling his rolex? What the fuck. On the one hand, its his to do with as he pleases, but on the other, it was a pretty special retirement gift.

Flair needs to grow the fuck up, stop marrying chicks half his age who then dump his wrinkled ass for half his cash (The wallet is getting thinner now, ladies.) and retire with a bit of respect and dignity.

He was slow and crappy during his last five years the in the WWE ring, and should have been doing something smart with his paycheques. I just plain pity the guy.

Giving a title to one company as payment, then giving the same title to another doesn't make him a piece of shit?

He didn't give the other company the title. He has it held up as collateral. It's not like the other company physically possesses the title and Flair tried to take it back. He probably forgot. People forget things like this.

Yeah that's just what I said.

You're trying to justify someone pawning off the same item twice. He's obviously blown all the money from his wrestling career, so now he's in debt. He's an idiot for doing so, and deserves everything he gets.

Cocaine costs a fortune these days.

How bout you explain your feelings further. How exactly does this make him a piece of shit?

I love that you can't articulate your own thoughts so you have to resort to petty insults. It's cute.

Ok I'll try to break it down for you.

We have the facts:
1) Flair took out a loan and put up his wrestling memorabilia as collateral
2) Flair decided to auction off his memorabilia
3) The people who loaned him money said he can't do that
4) He's not doing it

Based on these facts, you've concluded he's a piece of shit. All I'm asking is for you to explain how you came to your conclusion. Now wow me, Sophocles.

Deleted my last post to give it another reading.

From what I've read, Flair has a debt with two different companies. Conbraco and Highspots. Highspots is selling the belt to pay off Flair's debt, Conbraco told them they can't because Flair has already used that as collateral for a debt he owes to them. He owes two different companies money, and tried to pay them off using the same item. How does that not make him a piece of shit?

Verbose is correct about the facts - that the item was used as collateral with two companies (as far as we know so far). As for him being a piece of shit, well, that's opinion-based.

I understand the facts. The point is there is no indication that he's doing this on purpose. There's nothing that says he's trying to scam anyone. All I see here is a guy who's bad with money.

Look at all the stuff he put up as collateral for his first loan. It's pretty easy to get mixed up and forget that something is indebted to someone else.

No you don't understand the facts. You're saying he's trying to auction the stuff off. He has no part of the auction, that is out of his hands.

Gonna say it's simply a mistake on Flair's part. He's never been good with money and you can add this on to his list. That makes him careless, not a piece of shit.

Supreme Olajuwon

ok so he put the belt up for collateral twice

still doesn't sound malicious to me. just stupid

I'll clarify then. If it was truly a mistake, then yeah. Dumb as it is, he couldn't help it. If he knew that it was already used as collateral, then he is, as I said before, a piece of shit.

It's mentioned in some previous articles. Basically, he gave the belt to them as collateral, he never paid. So they were auctioning it off so they could get their money.

At his age and mental state I don't see him putting together some attempted scheme. I see him making an accident.

well in that case, they should lock him up and throw away the key

Well either way he's stupid. Either he forgot he already put the belt up which is stupid, or he thought he could get away with it, which is even stupider. Don't fuck with the UCC

So what, he made some bad decisions. Big deal. How many other wrestlers have done stuff like this before? This is like people calling Bret Hart a POS for refusing to do a job, but turning a blind eye when any other wrestler does the same thing. Since when are we supposed to hold professional wrestlers at such high standards?

It doesn't make him a piece of shit at all, as has been stated about him, it's more sad than anything.

Ric Flair has been known to have money issues. Could make make sense he forgot what he owed or used as collateral based on his past financial history.

Too bad JBL retired or else he could just hire Flair to wrestle for him on RAW. It worked for HBK. :shifty:
