View Full Version : Is it just me... (RAW spoilers, about the 14 man tag)
Or after the DX promo where they completely buried SD and the end where SD essentially was backing down, they're booking this to be a squash? Maybe something can change on SD, but from what I saw, SmackDown! has a much inferior roster compared to RAW in KAYFABE, not just realistically.
I just don't see how anyone could buy SD as having any chance whatsoever, even looking at it from a 100% kayfabe way, which is not a good thing for such a seemingly important match.

Its like this everytime Smackdown and Raw fight in big "team" matches.
What are the rosters anyway?

Big Show is gonna help Team SmackDown win, and turn on Team RAW, setting up JeriShow vs. DX at Survivor Series probably.
Team Raw: DX, Show, Henry, Rhodes, Swagger and Kofi
Team SmackDown!: Jericho, Kane, Ziggler, Cryme Tyme, Eric Escobar and Drew McIntyre
Thanks.
Yeah, seems like Team SD is gonna get their asses handed to them. Not only the roster itself, but the fact that there are 4 faces on Team RAW vs 2 faces on Team SD. Plus, RAW is pushed as the #1 show.
The only thing that would make this interesting for me would be some kind of an interesting situation or confrontation even between Show and Y2J.

Looks so awful even when not compared to past teams.

SD having a Fatal 4 Way certainly didn't help matters. Definitely could have done another Taker/Punk match and put Batista and Rey in there instead of Cryme Tyme and probably have Matt Hardy in instead of Eric Escobar (I leave McIntyre in cause he's clearly getting a huge fucking push)

I still dont get putting a rookie in Escobar on the team. Especially him taking out Matt to be on the team. At least Hardy would have added a little star power to the team.

I'd say Raw wins just because they're the basically the face team. Most likely the finish will be something where everyone does their finishing maneuvers. You'd have Cody and Swagger hit theirs on Cryme Tyme and have the crowd boo that and then the rest of the faces are free to beat up the heels. I think either Jericho or Kane takes the pin.

Smackdown will win because of the turmoil on team Raw. That was pretty much the whole point they were trying to drive home tonight with the Smackdown team coming together to go against HBK and the team Raw fighting to open the show.

It wouldn't surprise me if this went to RAW pretty easily, but I am still hoping that Big Show turns on Team RAW, and allows The SmackDown! Seven to steal a victory.

As for the SmackDown! -- I get what they are trying to do with McIntyre and Escobar in there, but even with their pushes, their lack of experience should keep them out of the match. You should probably have Matt Hardy and Finlay in their places. Cryme Tyme are good, and are over, but having Batista and Rey Mysterio in the team would have made them look far more credible.
Co-Captains: Triple H & Shawn Michaels
Big Show
Jack Swagger
Cody Rhodes
Kofi Kingston
Mark Henry
Co-Captains: Batista & Rey Mysterio
Chris Jericho
Kane
Dolph Ziggler
Matt Hardy
Finlay
Not only do those teams look more even, but they also match-up in a face/heel sense.

Yeah seemed like they added the whole infighting between the RAW team as a way to not make it look as obvious how badly stacked their team is compared to Smackdown. Now instead of a pure squash, they can go ahead with the "who will cost RAW the match" as the main plot of the match.

Good call, I think that is what will happen too.

Definitely think Escobar and McIntyre shouldn't be in there. :nono:

I would mark the holy fuck out if one of the "unestablished" guys from Team SmackDown! got the pin. Imagine if Big Show gave Triple H a Chokeslam, and then Drew McIntyre got the pin, or something. Even one of the Cryme Tyme guys could ride that for that a while.

McIntyre is easily the prettiest of the competitors

Maybe when Batista and Cena are done with Rey they'll pull him in next.

I'm torn between whether I want Chris Jericho to get the pin at Survivor Series, or for him to do a walk out with Big Show during the match after Show (hopefully) turns on Team RAW, and another member can get the big pin.
While I'm high on Drew McIntyre at the moment, I think being in the winning team would be enough for him. Cryme Tyme are faces, so it might be counter-productive for one of them to benefit off a heelish act. Kane could use the big win, as I'm always up for Kane looking strong, but Dolph Ziggler could use something to really boost him after his failed attempts at winning the Intercontinental Title. Eric Escobar is in a similar position to Drew McIntyre, but it may be too similar. Him being the sleeper and getting the win for Team SmackDown! would give him something that sets him apart.
I'm thinking Ziggler might be the best pick to get the pin, while JeriShow act like "brand wars" are beneath them.
