Fucking bullshit! Hendo is probably my favourite fighter. I definitely wanted to see him face off against Anderson again. Fucking sucks how he knocks the fuck out of the UFC's Britain poster boy and then suddenly the UFC does not have enough money to re-sign him.

I can't remember the hendo/bisping fight. So it never happened.

But it does suck to get rid of Hollywood Hendo.

Hendo would have a good chance at beating Silva (by good chance I mean better than most of the UFC middleweights), but that really doesn't mean a whole lot to the UFC as he really isn't to big of a draw...and the money he supposed to be asking for is pretty high. Also at the end of the day (looking at it through the UFC's eyes) he beat an out of prime Wandy, Lost to Jackson/Silva, had a rather uneventful fight against Palhares, split decisioned Frankling, and KO'd Bisping...who isn't exactly an elite level fighter. don't get me wrong, I like Hendo, but if he is asking for a (extremely) high pay check (As rumoured) he probably isn't deserving of it (in the UFC eyes)...especially considering he is getting on in years...

He deserves good money, he's paid his dues.

Never said he hasn't, but looking at it the way the UFC will be looking at it, I can understand why he isn't being paid the amount of money he wants. I do hope if he goes to Strikeforce (or Dream) he gets paid good money, but I really can't see him making the sort of money he's (supposably) asking for...

He is still the Number 2 Middleweight in the world. Im sure they could have worked out a deal that could have kept him on the big money for a fight with Belfort, where he got a title shot had he won, and took a paycut had he lost.

Is his contract already up? Or does he have another fight left?

His last fight on his contract was against Bisping.

1. Dana's a cunt. He is the kind of guy who will piss on your leg and tell you it's raining.

2. I don't think Hendo asked for an unreasonable amount of money. Maybe just a little more.

3. Anderson Silva wanted Hendo/Marquardt for one reason: He seems to be afraid of Hendo. Why, I don't know. It's the same reason why he always throws out the "we're friends" excuse for not fighting Machida: fear.

lol yeah, pretty sure Anderson Silva isn't scared of Dan Henderson

Well, why demand that Hendo fight Marquardt for a title shot after he was already offered one by Dana White?

Because he probably arrogantly but rightfully believes that Henderson isn't in his league and would rather not 'waste his time'. Pretty sure Silva only wants the biggest and best fights out there atm and he has nothing to prove beating Henderson again. "Oh but he won the first round!" waaahhhhhhh

counterpoint to your argument: why does he insist on NOT fighting Machida, then?

1. What does that have to with Hendo?
2. They're like best friends and training partners is the main reason (hardly an uncommon thing in MMA) However, if they keep going the way they are, at some point down the line they're gonna have to fight
3. I think the fight would suck hard

I mean, come on, do you really think Anderson Silva, questionably the top fighter in the world, who made Forrest Griffin look like a 6 year old being bullied by Mike Tyson, is scared of anybody?

1. well, you're saying that saying that he only wants the "biggest and best fights atm," and there's no bigger fight for him than Machida. You can't have it both ways.

2. And they should. I don't fault that logic, but I see Machida as someone who would fight anyone to prove he's the best in the world (see him wanting to fight Lesnar.)

3. It could, or it could be end in a highlight reel knockout. Only way to be sure is for them to get it done.

Well, I could mention how Floyd Mayweather dominates opponents, but won't fight the upper echelon in his division, but that'd just be apples to oranges. I may be talking shit saying that Silva is afraid of Hendo, but why not just say "I'll fight you" and have Dana make it happen? Will the outcome be different? Who knows.

At the same time though, I consider best lb for lb to be GSP.

1. theres other fights that would constitute being a huge fight without him fighting machida... seriously get off that. He fuckin asked to fight frank mir.

2. I believe I addressed that point in #1

3. He demands hendo fight marquart because both have claim to the title shot and both got fucked up by him. He has stated that he doesnt plan to fight after his contract is up so he does want the best fights. Machida isnt the only fight let alone the biggest fight out there for him. Theres plenty such as vitor, wanderlei, and any heavyweight.

The difference between mayweather and silva is that silva will fight anyone and has cleared out his division. He simply doesnt believe he should have to fight henderson again to prove anything. Mayweather wont fight anyone tough and says hes the best so yes you would be nonsensical to bring him up.

Hello I don't want to blow your mind but Anderson Silva has already destroyed Henderson. Watch the second round you can see the moment Henderson knows he is fucked. Like as soon as Silva lands a few blows the match is over.

Henderson could lay all over Silva and put his fingers in his mouth for a round again but Silva is going to land some strikes. When that happens Henderson will be fucked. I have no doubt in my mind that Silva would have taken that to a TKO win if he hadn't submitted him. Henderson was ROCKED badly by Silva in the second round.

Anderson Silva is the best striker in MMA by a distance that cannot be measured.

Secondly, get this.... NOT ALL CULTURES ARE THE SAME :eek::eek::eek::eek:

South American cultures focus very heavily on friendship.
