Hey guys,
My fiance and I are going through alot of songs to play at our wedding and we have run out of ones that we can think of, every site seems to suggest the same ones over and over and over.
Thought I would turn to a large demographic of music listeners for some help.
We have the first song already.
We need
- Fun songs to dance to
- Some stuff older people (40-65) would like
- Some slower songs
- Some oldies
Any help is appreciated.

First song that came to my head was this one. Don't ask me why.
Though it kills 3 birds with one stone I guess.
It's a fun song to dance to.
It's something the older people (40-65) would like.
And it's an oldie. :y:

If you're not much of a dancer, try Chicago's "Colour My World" for a first dance. It clocks in at 3 minutes, and has great lyrics.

Went to a wedding over the weekend where the groom somehow talked the bride into having "Pour Some Sugar on Me" as the song for the cake cutting.

This was probably the most difficult part of Hornicane's list of to-do's for the wedding reception. We ended up googling something that was like "200 best reception songs" and built it from there. I can look and see if he still has his list of everything we used if you'd like ideas. Just let me know.
We did decide to Rick Roll our entire reception though, and have some pretty ridiculous choices. lol

We had a great dance at ours, literally everybody was dancing the whole time, even the older relatives etc. The key, I think, is going with a lot of classic rock. Everybody likes it, and it's more fitting than rap or anything like that anyway.
Here is our list of "general reception songs" that we gave the DJ so he would have an idea of what our taste was. This doesn't include "first dance" and all of that.

My wife and I had some..
Metallica
In This Moment
Kiss
Queen
Darious Rucker (Hootie) (Her side is hugely country)
Scorpions
Guns N Roses
Keith Urban
Killswitch Engage
and alot of Journey
My wife actually walked down the isle to Dont Stop Believing by Journey and our first dance was to Nothing Else Matters by Metallica.
We pretty much had a huge mix between country and Metal.
