World Wrestling Entertainment has re-signed Lance Cade. The three-time World Tag Team Champion reported to Florida Championship Wrestling this past week.

Cade, previously wrestled for the company from 2001 to 2008, most notably in a tag team with Trevor Murdoch.

When Cade was last seen in WWE, he had become a protegé of sorts to Chris Jericho and was aiding him in his feud with Shawn Michaels. However, the alliance would prove to be short-lived as he was suddenly released from his WWE contract on October 14, 2008. Jim Ross later stated that "he made a major league mistake while utilizing bad judgment" which was instrumental in his departure. Ross also made reference to Cade having a seizure on a plane and needing emergency medical care.

Since his departure from WWE, Cade had been working for various independent wrestling promotions and making appearances in Japan.

Suprised it took them this long tbh

If Cade is clean, then I would definitely love to see him back. The dude is pretty young, has got good size to him, and can work a match.

Was it ever revealed what the "major league mistake" was?

Apparently his seizure was drug related

I really never cared about him. I want to. Just never paid attention to him.

He also has a new look so it will be interesting to see him repackaged

Very happy about this. I love Cade. His spinebuster finisher is pretty cool, and Cade/Murodch were my fav tag team for about two years. Their matches with the Hardyz were fantastic.

I'd rather see them resign Braden Walker.

I'd love to see him start in ECW and work his way as the top heel on the show.

Cade and Murdoch really should have gotten a push when they were doing their "play by the rules" gimmick. They didn't seem to have their look down completely right. Cade came to the ring in that really short bathrobe and Murdoch had his flannel shirt. I'm not saying that couldn't have worked. It was just strange to do it that way with no real explanation. They looked like a lesbian couple.

Jethro Holiday!!

Will he once again be teamed up with his savior Chris Jericho like nothing happened? Or will they get Trevor back too? I want the tag team of Lance Cade and Trevor Murdoch back!

Seriously.

Lance Cade has gotten yet another chance because he's HBK's boy. Wow...

I don't watch TNA, so I don't know how good/bad the Jethro Holiday character is. I saw one match and he looked vicious.

Trevor is better.

Always disagreed with this. Trevor Murdoch is pretty good, don't get me wrong, but I don't think he's got the same sort of potential that Lance Cade has. I would not be opposed to seeing the WWE re-hire Murdoch, though. The dude could be a good mid-carder in his own right.

It would make perfect sense to continue the Jericho/Cade relationship, as there was no real reason for it to end. Cade as back-up for JeriShow would allow Cade to work with two big stars.

Oh come on, plenty of guys have gotten repeated chances without any link to Michaels.

Yeah, didn't Cryme Tyme "beat up" a ref at a house show once and got fired?

I will be interested to see the Cade/Jericho dynamic.

I think a Cade/Big Show alliance would be better than resuming Cade/Jericho. It feeds into a possible Jerishow split whenever they want to do that, and you have the history with Cade there (though I do speculate how much of the crowd will remember him as he wasn't hugely over). Additionally, keeping Big Show in the tag scene keeps him away from the singles scene. This is a good game plan for now. If they don't push Show towards the title, he's just floundering. As for Cade, being Show's partner would certainly help get his name out there.

I still can't get over his original ring name, Garrison Cade. Seriously, WTF were they even thinking when they came up with that shit?

Juan I thought it'd be Kurt Angle or Booker T.

That'd be great. Either way I didn't expect a mid-carder.

Down the line that could be cool, but with JeriShow still together, it makes sense to stick Cade with them.

I guess it depends when they get Cade back on TV. Jerishow + Cade would be even better.

That's really not such a ridiculous name. Besides, I think Lance Storm was still around at the time, so they didn't want too many Lances.

I'm not a huge fan of Cade, but I don't groan when I see his matches either. I'd be interested if he got paired up with Jerishow upon his return. The next issue would be when that program ends (if it happens), seeing if he can really stand on his own.

For the record, I wasn't saying they needed to put Cade with Jerishow as a henchman. I just wonder what the character dynamic will be.

I hate it how the WWE doesn't think its fans can distinguish between two guys with the same first name. In primary school, there were often two people with the same first name. We could tell them apart by these things called "last names."
