Ric Flair was at a Bush/Cheney campaign luncheon today in Charlotte NC. President Bush said "I want to thank Ric Flair, professional wrestler. He's with us today. Big Ric, I'm proud you're here. Thank you for coming. I want to thank the grassroots activists who are here. We won North Carolina last time. We're going to win it this time. And I appreciate your help."

Ok, so he's republican. What does that have to do with wrestling?
Then again, HHH will tell you that wrestling and politics go hand in hand.

George Bush, supported by elderly men who (allegedly) expose themselves to stewardesses.

Big Ric, I'm proud you're here.
Damn it, Bush can't get through one public appearance without screwing up somehow. Maybe "Slick" Ric is going to help him with his mic skills.

A few other wrestlers off the top of my head, who I believe are Republicans also are:
Austin
HBK
Undertaker
The McMahons (Linda especially)
The Rock
Triple H
Bradshaw
I know Foley is a democrat, but he said he respects Bush.

Flair versus Osama
When you think about it, that would make so much f'n money. Imagine the heel heat that Osama would have...

Many professional athletes are Republican, regardless of their personal background. They tend to be in the highest tax brackets and voting Republican is a good way to protect their interests.

Yeah, they can send Bischoff out to find him, and he'd search and search on this wild goose chase until he got fed up. Then he'd beat up some guy in an Afghanistan bar and come back empty handed, and then for punishment, McMahon would eliminate the Flair/Osama match and instead set up a match between Bischoff and Osama. And of course, Osama would mysteriously show up at the following PPV to beat the crap out of Bischoff....
His music would hit, then BAM! half a dozen sniper rifles go off in the rafters. With his dying breath, Osama tries to tell everyone that the local sports team sucks, but he is denied any last words because that's when Debra would show up and stuff one of her cookies into his mouth, leading to a HUGE face push for Debra that would probably end up flat on its face after two weeks.....but damn, it'd still be kinda entertaining.
(Some alternatives for this storyline would be for JR to drain a couple bottles of his crappy BBQ sauce down Osama's gullet, or to have Rene Dupree's dog shit in his face, which would be a BIG 180 for Dupree. The only question left to ask now is: What would Osama's theme music be?)

It's always made me wonder why movie/music stars tend to vote Democrat instead of Republican.

Unlike professional sports, Hollywood is fake and runs entirely on a fuel of "hipness", and since the left wing view is more hip...(60's teenagers spreading their peace, love, etc. is more appealing than guys in suits calculating budgets and hoarding cash.)...well, you get the idea. Athletes, on the other hand, aren't famous for being famous, and so they can give a crap less.

I wonder how much money Vince would pay Osama, for a contract. Mabey, just mabey he can make more than the winner of the Diva Contest.

Hollywood isn't really as liberal as it's proclaimed to be. Hollywood's in the business of making money, and will play to both sides (And often do both at once).
Pro wrestlers appeal to a primarily conservative market. I blame the low average IQ, frankly.

Based upon personal experience, I wouldn't go for Bush if my life depended on it, which it consequently would. Dubbayah should have assassins planted against his family. I can't imagine too many people going for him, even under the threat of death.
Fuck you Bush. I'd slap you in the face and spit on your mother.

Flair probably shook Bush's hand and stood up on the podium to pose....then got thrown off by Bush
