View Full Version : Most Memorable Raw Moment of All-Time. 93-98

Okay, wait for the poll cause there's going to be about 60-80 choices from 1993-2004. I think I might do a couple of polls and I'll eliminate the choices that get the lowest amount of votes along the way until there is about 10 Moments Left Standing. So if I do 60 momets, I'll go from 60 to 40 to 20 and to 10. Then for the last 10, you guys will determine the top Memorable Moment.

Why not let people on the boards post the 60 to start with, then let everybody vote on them. That way all 60 choices will be from different perspectives instead of one person deciding what should make the list and what shouldn't and the vote would be more interesting. Just a thought.

Steve Austin invading Brian Pillman's home.
When Godfather & Road Dogg are supposed to wrestle on the night after Owen Hart's death and I think Godfather offers Road Dog some hoes, but Road Dogg says, "How about instead of having this match we go backstage and Burn one and tell Owen stories." Then they left. I always thought that was pretty cool but that might be 'cause I'm a stoner.

Theres so many good ones.
As for Jericho, I like the debut and the title win that "never happened." And everything else on Raw is Jericho.

Okay guys, I realised that there was just way to much moments for me to do from 93-2004. So I decided to break it up into two era's. First 93-98. Then 99-2004. So vote for you're most memorable moment from the 93-98 era and then I'll eliminate some choices and you will keep voting until I get 10 Most Memorable Moments from this era. You have 15 days to vote until I move on to the next round where there will probably be 30 choices left.
Later on, I'll do the same with 99-2004 and get a Top Ten and those Ten will be put with the 93-98 Ten for a Finale.
Oh and I forgot to put the option where you can see what everyone voted for. I'll do that with the next one. So everyone say what they voted for cause I am curious. I voted for "Bret Reunites the Foundation."
EDIT: ONE more thing. The dates might be a little off. I got them all off of one website, so I'm not really sure if they are exact.
The **** means that I forgot something and put the Moment in "Out of Order"

I'm surprised nobody has voted for The Formation of the New Dx the Raw after Mania 14. That would be my second choice. BTW, who also voted for the Hart Foundation Reunion?

Going with Bang 3:16, one of my all time favorites. Vince had just fired Austin and was bragging about the whole night until Austin showed up and held him captive. Great RAW!

Why didn't you jsut do year-by-year or something? There's way too many choices there.
Loose Cannon
04-08-2004, 05:39 PM
Yeah, I could of done year by year. But some years didn't have that many great moments. And I didn't want to have like 11 polls to start off with. This way, I'll take the moments with the top votes and eliminate all the other one's for the next round.

I voted for Bret/123 Kid.
That match has been stuck in my mind for years. It was just awesome, even thouh it was a meaningless title shot. I had no idea who to cheer for. And I'm marking out just thinking about it.

these may not be most memorable moments, but some of my favorite moments are:
chris jericho taunting ken shamrock from inside of a steel cage.
the hard swallow from vinnie mac as undertaker catches him flipping him off. taker and kane proceed to beat down vince, breaking his leg or something.
austin assaults vince in his hostpital bed recovering from injuries sustained at the hands of kane and UT.
Being a Bret Hart mark, I naturally chose the reformation of the Hart Foundation.
Honorable mentions: Mr. Perfect vs. Ric Flair, and the formation of DX.

Yeah, I am definately going to finish this. But, how do you guys want me to do the next 6 years? Do you want me to list about 10-20 top moments for each year with 6 different polls or do you want me to do it like I did this one with all the years put together?
But as soon as this poll closes, I'll take the top 20-30 vote getters and put them in another poll. Then I'll get it down to ten moments with a last poll. After that, depending on what you guys want me to do, I'll do the other years. Then I'll take the 93-98 years and put them with the 99-2004 years and have one big finale poll to determine the Most Memorable Moment.
And I'll make the poll closing times earlier next time too.

For me, it was probably the Cactus Jack/NAO one with the dumpster. Probably just because they made such a huge deal about it and made it seem almost semi realistic. The whole scene lasted a good 15-20 minutes.

I went with the Bret Hart "Heel" speech...
for a guy who didn't like WWF's new "Attitude", Bret did a hell of a job of pulling it off. That speech was one of the best in pro wrestling history IMO...
