I'd rather let the world go to hell than have Jake Gyllenhaal bail me out of trouble.
Looks like shit, even if Bruckheimer's backing it.

Donnie Darko doesn't look good with medium-long hair.
He sucked in Day After Tommorrow as well. Why doesn't he just stick with the quirky comedies? He's okay at those.

To be honest...it looks like the game. That's a huuuuuuuuuuuuge selling point to me.
Should be half way decent I hope

Jakey G is not an action star and cannot really play this type of role to a degree that would make the film a good quality of the role credible. He aint got the voice, the mannerism or anything else for this.
The female actor and voice over is very off putting.
I do not think or predict good things for this flick.
I honestly don't think it looks all that bad. But we'll see.

Have to disagree with a lot of you here as I believe this appears that it will be the best video game to movie adaptation to be made thus far.

I wouldn't go that far, XCali, but it does look good.

Dialogue seems putrid, but the rest seems like it could be good.

It won't beat Mortal Kombat.

It won't beat Mortal Kombat.
I'm sure it will but then again I liked the Doom movie way more than MK but that's not saying much really. The only flick I could see outdoing this is Bioshock but I haven't seen squat on this yet. I've not been impressed with any of Bruckheimer's latest projects so I hope this is the one that turns that trend around.

That looked good. Looks they incorporated all 3 games into the movie. That's a good idea.
I'm actually more bothered that they gave the Prince a name, and changed Farrah's name.
Yeah I'm a loser.

Personally I thought Destan is a kick as name but I heard they changed Farrah's name since they didn't want to copy too many ideas from the SOT. In fact the creator of the games was doing commentary on this trailer for ign and mentioned that some of it is actually based on the original POP games from way back. The whole time dagger affect looks so much more amazing in this other wise it would be basically reverse bullet time.
