I know the XBLA Indie section is hardly an "Alladin's cave" of quality games with so many games being beyond awful but I thought I'd start a topic about what few good ones there is. There's over 500 Indie games right now so I'm sure we've each missed a few good ones.

I've only found four that are worth mentioning.

Johnny Platform's Biscuit Romp

It's a platformer themed around cakes and biscuits, like the name suggests. It's pretty good. Each type of biscuit and cake has a different use. Battenburg cake is used as a pushable block, cookies can be rolled around, Custard Creams break after being stepped on etc. It's simple, colourful and worth checking out.

Dock'em

Another simple idea. You have to dock three different kinds of boat into the correct harbour and prevent them from colliding with each other. You click and drag on a boat and draw a line for it to follow to its harbour. It gets hectic after a while but I found it fun.

RC-AirSim

Not so much a game as a general time-waster. Still fun at first but not something you'll come back to. It's a little expensive at 240 MSP. You select a model plane and then you fly it around the sky using the left and right sticks. It controls like the old model planes some of us would have had as kids. At the least, it's worth checking out the demo.

Run Away!

My latest indie purchase and probably my favourite indie game yet. Again, it's very simple. You are trying to reach the house of a girl called "Angry Girl" to tell her you love her. Along the way, a dog starts chasing you and you have to run away and jump over hedges, fences etc to escape. Each level has different obstacles and has you being chased by a different person/thing. It's simple, bright and fun.

So, has anyone else checked out any Indie games? If you have and think they are worth other people checking out, post them here.

There was one that was like Geometry Wars 2 but instead of random enimies they would spawn to the beat of the music you selected either off your xbox or streamed from your laptop but I didn't really like it I mean the concept is excellent but it fell short runonnnnnnnnnnnnn

I tried the demo of that and I swear it's the exact same game as one of the golf games in the Arcade section.

Yeah but you get to make your own courses and share them and download others. You start out with 6 but now I got 40 that I downloaded.

That's in the Arcade golf game to. The only difference is the indie version has you play as your Avatar and the XBLA version has you play as a customised in game character. Either way, it's not a bad game at all.
Maybe it's by the same people because at least one company is using the indie section for experiments and smaller games. The Arkedo series.

Groov is a frenetic dual-stick shooter that makes you the conductor of an intergalactic jazz fusion orchestra. Every action in Groov has a musical reaction, and with three unique modes, randomized music, and powerups that slow down the song (and your enemies), no two playthroughs are ever alike!

I encourage all of you to go and buy Streets of Fury. It's basically 4 player Mortal Kombat + Streets of Rage and it's only 80 MSP.
