Anythign of note happen in the last, I dunno, 6 monthes?
Cena vs Orton was the main event of RAW for the majority of that time.
Chavo's being buried by Hornswoggle.
There are guest GMs for RAW.
RAW still sucks.

Your best bet is to just ignore RAW and watch ECW and Smackdown since that is WWE's strongest brands in terms of wrestling last few months.

He missed the whole epic Cena/Orton series of matches.
I think he also missed HBK working as a cafeteria cook and HHH convincing him to come back and reform DX.
Also probably has missed WWE's great concept of making PPVs full of Gimmick Matches (Breaking Point, Hell in a Cell, Bragging Rights, TLC)

CM Punk became world champ a few more times, turned heel, and had a pretty decent feud with Jeff Hardy that ended with him "banishing" Jeff from the WWE.
Punk has since lost the title to The Undertaker and for the past two weeks seems to be feuding with a freaking referee. He has also become hairier.

ECW has become more awesome, with a few new stars who look like they have bright futures in WWE. Such as Yoshi Tatsu, Tyson Kidd & D.H. Smith (The Hart Dynasty), Sheamus (who's on RAW now) and Ezekiel Jackson. They also have some solid veteran WWE workers in ECW such as current ECW Champ Christian, William Regal, Shelton Benjamin, Vladimir Kozlov, The Hurricane and Zack Ryder.
