So, I understand that women and gay dudes like Twilight. I get it, something about sparkly vampires.

What I don't get, if the first movie was such a success and made loads of cash, why does the trailer for the new movie have horrible special effects?

Is it just that they're horrible filmmakers who are incapable of making anything that even looks good?

Also: Did any guys on this forum watch the movie or read the book?

It's all about Patison being dreamy, not the special effects.

The first one made its budget back on the opening weekend, but I think the cast got a bigger payday for the sequel so they probably took that out of the special effects budget...

Also, I didn't mind the movie but I never read the book. I'll rent this one on Bluray when it comes out as well.

Maybe, the hype got in the way of me being able to sit through the film.

Movie is not bad but certainly nothing special although when I got to the end and it just slowly ended I was like WTF?

I watched the first one with my gf, she made me.

I found the acting TERRIBLE, the story predictable and nothing really new, and just the general sense of a scene almost cringe worthy - with the dialogue, the music and sfx even, just every 'emotional' scene, I wanted to look away I literally couldn't bare to watch or listen to anymore. It's not aimed at me, I get that, but I found nothing entertaining or impressive about it.

Found Dead or Alive a more entertaining film.
