Tonight's games couldn't hold a candle to last night's. Really only enjoyed the Tennesse/Ohio State game.

In my ESPN bracket, i'm in the B.S Report group and i'm ranked 174th out of 27,000. I'm not sure what i'm ranked overall, but i have 3 of my Final Four left ( Butler, Duke, WV ) and i have 6 of the 8 Elite 8 teams. The Kansas region was the one that truely fucked me. I had Kansas vs Georgetown in the Elite 8, but right before the tournament started, i had MSU in the Final Four, not Kansas. I changed it at the last minute. I originally had MSU vs Georgie Tech in the elite 8, then fucked with it. I woulda had all my Final Four still alive and would have had MSU going to the finals vs WV.

I also have KU winning it all in this bracket so i'm screwed there, but if WVU, Duke and Butler win saturday and sunday, i'll have one of the best brackets on ESPN i think.

My bracket is fucking awful but I pretty much expected that. I really only saw Big East games this year, mixed in with a couple teams that were on ESPN all the time like Duke & Kentucky.

I overrated the Big East big time since it was all I really saw but then I also made weird picks where I picked a team like San Diego State even though I've never seen them play lol. No money riding on it at all so whatever.

I also picked Butler to go to the Elite 8 even though I've seen them play like once this entire season. No idea why, probably because you are always posting about them.

Kstate is by far a tougher matchup for Butler then Syracuse is. Anyone who watched Butler and the Cuse had to know that Butler could really beat Syracuse. Kstate has guards that shoot 3's and are quick and they have really atletic big men down low. Butler needs to have a hell of a game tommorow.

Also, me and my best friend bought season tickets to Butler basketball. They have a Final Four caliber team. Tons of experts picking them. I wont be able to make every game though so i'm selling like half of them.




Man, Seth Davis has the Bulldogs down as a Final 4 pick too. Butler is stacked this year foreal. I think Butler and Purdue could make it to the Final Four in Indy this year. And you bet i'll be getting tickets to that shit.

Butler did a great job of making K-State look uncomfortable all game, they could never really get into the flow. Why the fuck was K-State going away from their big guy though? He was demanding the ball, clearing guys out and getting position only to watch a cross court pass sail over his head for a guard to a shoot a jumper.

Weird how the bracket works out for the Final 4, could have 2 5's on one side playing each other and 2 1's on the other.

Last time it occurred was the year of George Mason's monster Cinderella run and Florida's 1st title (2006).

Had George Mason not take out UNC, Uconn, and other quality teams, Florida doesn't win the title so easily in 2006 and probably stops any chance of a Florida 2-year dynasty.

Then there was Greg Paulus and Josh McRoberts who were the hardest to watch "IMO." Fucking hate both of them so much, they are just the biggest pieces of shit. Scheyer is just some smarky looking asshole and Zoubek isn't that bad, just kinda looks like the monster from Frankenstein but not as much as Evgeni Malkin. Sure, Butler's got the "home team" advantage, what with being only 6 miles or so from where their campus is which will give them the obvious crowd advantage. But I think if State stays focused all game, makes the tough shots when needed, clears the ball, stays out of foul trouble early and doesn't commit stupid turnovers, they'll advance back to the title game, where they ended up last year, before being knocked off by UNC.

That being said, even if we did win and had the worst-case scenario for the title game, i.e. facing Duke, I think with enough focus and passion my Spartans can and will win their 3rd National Championship this year.

Makes everything look retarded because the players are now sitting lower than the court and looking at knee level and you have coaches in front of the bench kneeling down and pounding on the court and stuff. Then if the actual coach wants to run up and down the sidelines to yell he has to step up on the thing. What if a player is trying to save a ball from going out of bounds or something, his momentum will carry him over the edge and he will fall.

Duke has a fantastic perimeter game, which is fine because Butler has great perimeter defense and have been in total lockdown mode all tournament, but Duke also has a huge frontline and like 5 huge dudes on the team vs like Matt Howard and Hayward.. thats a problem. Plus now Howard has a concussion, Mack is dehydrated and cramping, Heyward had a busted lip. This game against MSU was the most physical game i've ever seen Butler in. Now they face Duke...

It would be something if they pull it off and win. You can just feel it in Indy right now, the city feels like its ready to bust. The celebration might be bigger then the Colts Superbowl celebration because its better weather and Indianapolis has always been about basketball, high school and college.

Traditional power a lot of times get a lot of haters. UNC is obviously very similar but when you look at a lot of the stars at UNC; Michael Jordan, Vince Carter, Ty Lawson etc they are much "cooler" than the guys coming out of Duke; Christian Lattner, Grant Hill, J.J. Redick, etc.

Also their entitled student fan base I can see getting on the nerves of people. They come off as stuck up arrogant royalty or something, plus they are constantly shoved down your throat if you're a casual sports fan. There a lot of teams that are similar, but I really think it comes down to the superstar thing I mentioned earlier. I mean look at the team this year, just don't have any swag or something. Seems like they are always full of goofy white guys or nerd type black dudes that look like they grew up in white suburbia. A lot different than the norm, people generally don't like that.

That was one of the best games i've ever seen. The stadium was fucking electric. It was incredible. I didnt go, but it was so apparent on tv.

That ending was epic in its own way. It would have been the greatest ending, possibly ever, if Hayward hits that 50 footer. And the fact that it was so close has become a great story somehow. Like bittersweet. Everything i've read is focused on that miss. It might be the greatest miss ever.

I'm so fucking proud of Butler. When you really think about it. It was incredible what Butler did in this tournament.

I was so sure Butler was gonna score on the possession before that on Hayward's jumper. If you'll notice, it was almost the exact same spot where Jimmy Chitwood scored the game winner in Hoosiers.

I thought Hayward took a bad shot to go for the lead at the end. He was crowded out and had hands in his face from what I remember. It was a tough shot. But he rattled in and out, so he got off a pretty good shot. I thought the angle was bad though.

The final shot was fucking epic, but that would of just tied it, right? I thought the game was awesome and I thought this tourney was one of the best one's I've ever watched. Sad to see college basketball end.

Just found out the opening round of next years tourney is here in Charlotte, so I will def try and get tickets to that
