And cheating shamelessly.
What I'd give to be a fucking booker...even for a monthly indie group.
How the fuck did Vince Russo get that job again?
Probably played EW 9000 and thought "hey, this is easy! I should book!"

I went into file-editor and hooked up all the people I like.
I get so bored when my wife and kids go to visit family.
How's Steve Blackman doing?

He wouldn't fucking punch me. I'm friends with him. In fact, he's watching me type th

I've been playing EWR pretty consistently for the past year or so. My ROH is top notch.

I stole everyone I like from the indie scene. Motor City Machine Guns are going to fucking own once Alex get's back from his eye injury. Yay, Briscoe Bros VS. MCMG feud!
The Rock and Chris Jericho have been feuding nonstop for a few months now but, they're on separate shows. They faced in the Rumble where Chris Jericho defeated 29 other superstars including Bret Hart, Goldberg, Giant Paul Wight and the Suplex Machine Taz who came out of retirement at the end of December.
Chris Benoit has been deleted.
Steve Blackman is going to return sometime after Wrestlemania and do a Sting/Crow gimmick w/o the makeup.
EDIT: Changed 30 to 29.

My two main feuds are Bryan Danielson vs. Randy Orton for the ROH World title and John Morrison vs. Colt Cabana for the Top of the Class title.

I never really got the hang of EWR long enough to enjoy it. Maybe I'll try it out again one of these days. When I was a kid I used to write out plans for a completely fictional wrestling fed with original characters. :P

I used to play EWR, but never really got into it because I'm lazy and didn't want to bother with that level of detail.
I used to play Promotion Wars a lot, which had very little detail. I remember Lance Storm always being a big hit for me.
It's a good thing they don't make it compatible for Mac otherwise I'd be playing it constantly.
Way too much details. Deleted it like 10 minutes after installing.

Was talking about some new one which I found too confusing.

yeah i played one, maybe ewr 3.0 or something. but fucking hell it was just too much booking each stupid fucking segment. took forever and there was never any payoff. part of me always really wanted to take a nothing fed to the very top though, but i would have to dedicate about 6 years of my life to it which would be awful.

Most of the detail is just in setting your company up for success. You keep tweaking things until you find a system that works, and once you do, all you really have to do is book shows and sign talent.

I know at first I made the mistake of thinking too big too quickly. I was trying to sign people I couldn't afford and I would end up deep in debt quicily. You just have to work with what you have until you start making money for the bigger signings.

I don't know, it just seemed like I'd have to spend a lot of time setting the company in the first place. In the older version it all went quicker, and the only text game I've ever been patient with was Championship Manager.

Yeah, it may take a little time to find out your strengths and weaknesses, but mostly everything is laid out for you in plain English if you look in the right sections. Sophie and the Finance Department are your best friends.

EWR was really simple. The hardest part of an EWR game would be if you started with a really shit guy who had creative control with a title or something like that. After that it's all about getting the guys with good stats on fixed contracts.
TEW is more in depth but probably a bit too much because you book on time limits and not to segment restrictions.
Fond memories of EWR however and it really helped to learn about indy feds and wrestlers back in the day. Except the made up ones...

Apparently, The Backseay Boyz are the greatest tag team ever. I've never really seen them wrestle, but they're always one of the first signings I make on a new EWR game. I haven't really started a new one since August of 2008, but I'm still playing that one now. It has replaced Tetris as the 'bored game'.

Yeah, I'd always build the tag team division around people like the Backseat Boyz, The Briscoes, The SAT, Dinsmore and Conway (when the WWE released them) etc. The thing is once you had a winning formula with EWR, it was easy to replicate it for each new game. The only challenge was when you were too small a company to offer written contracts so you'd have the WWE and TNA stealing your talent every now and then.

By the way guys, there's a topic to post/read diaries of such games (if you're into that) here: http://www.tpww.net/forums/showthread.php?t=162&page=49
Haha, that thread got kidnapped by loopydate, much like the ECW threads get by screech.

True. It used to belong to M-A-G and Big Vito 22. Vito still posts a fair amount in there, but my '03 WWE game is running that thread now.

I don't feel like writing out detailed summaries of all of my shows. I can post my results there if anybody actually gives a fuck, which I doubt they do.
