I was flipping through the channels this morning and stumbled upon this TV movie called Turtles forever. It's got the new turtles meets the old 80's turtles. And it includes old school characters like Shredder, Krang, Rocksteady, Bebop, Footsoilders, April. It's awesome

Sounds cool. I gotta check it out online or summit.
Sounds interesting, seen a clip of it on Youtube earlier.
So anyone know if its available in the UK, or will it likely have to be downloaded in some shape or form?

Was a fan of it when I was a kid and I've seen some off the new stuff and like most cartoon remakes nowadays the quality is shite by comparison.

Yeah this is pretty cool. Not too fond of the 2003 turtles but the whole concept of this movie just owns. Like a TMNT Crisis on Infinite Earths. And Hell yeah at the third universe visited at the end. I read those old comics my older brother had, and the whole scene was nerdgasm 500%.

I have been meaning to watch this. Perhaps I will watch it right now. I wish Juan would run this in the vault, though.
The Vault is no more, my friend. I had been using a URL i found in my browser history to continue broadcasting, but after that last shut down (version ten), they completely blocked SeeToo.
I either need a new PC or a new sound card to be able to broadcast again.

This news saddens me. The end of a great era. At least for now

No, the 80's turtles are in fact presented extra punkish to further sell the difference in tone. I didn't mind as the effect worked. They did get some good beats so it's all good.

I liked Turtles 2003. Obviously a very different tone and I missed our favorite villains, but at the same time it was good that it was a completely fresh approach.

The 2003 Turtles are A LOT better. The 80's Turtles were alright at the time, but the censorship was worse back then. 2K3 Turtles has better plots, better animation and a better concept. It's more true to comic and a bit more serious where as the 80's show was more easy going 8 out of 10 times.
When Shredder beats the shit of of Leonardo and attacks the Turtles- that two part episode is seriously epic.

I prefer the look and style of the old cartoon, but that's likely due to nostalgia. Generally I just like that old style of cartoons better though, and I preferred the colorful world.

I either need a new PC or a new sound card to be able to broadcast again. What's exactly needed? I was kinda curios about broadcasting some stuff but I'm not sure how to set it up.
I am so old school, I don't even know what the "new TMN turtles" are!

Even after watching them back to back? I watched the entire season of 2k3 then watched an episode of the 80's version (I have Season 5 and Season 8 on DVD) and you can totally see the different direction of the show.
It's like comparing Super Friends with the Bruce Timm DC Universe. Both are good in their own ways, but the contrast in animation and direction is phenomenal. I grew up with the 80's version and barely cared for 2k3 in 2003- saw some episodes and thought it was cool but forgot about it due to being 19, I chilled more and didn't pay as much attention to TV so in 2008 I watched the 2K3 episodes and I bought the seasons that are out on sale.

Yea, I still just like the original. It's mainly nostalgia and aesthetic purposes really. I don't feel too strongly about my opinon since I haven't made a point to really sit down and watch them thoroughly. Perhaps the story direction on the newers ones are better. I haven't really watched any of it since I was younger, except for the first season which I bought on dvd.
That whole season is incredible.

I realized I didn't continue watching the 1987 series to the point where they sent Shredder to Dimension X for good. Maybe I will download it.

I definitely stopped watching before it ended. As a kid I very rarely saw shows through to completion, since I moved onto other things.
I do remember watching Spiderman from start to finish back then though. I probably saw most of The Real Ghostbusters, too. Though Ninja Turtles definitely encroached on the Ghostbusters era.

The newer turtles look kind of naff compared to the old school turtles.

Watching this it's apparent that the new Turtles seems to take a more serious approach to the whole thing, especially the villains. Definitely seems like way more serious business, while the original has more hijinx and moustache twirling villains and their goons getting foiled.
I guess I can understand why some fans would get into that, but the original is the original to me. I don't really watch cartoon series anymore though, so my childhood favorites reign supreme to me.

I watched it today at college. Altogether I really enjoyed it, and it was a great trip down memory lane, especially when they travel to the 80's universe and everyone's got weird hair etc... and the whole 'oh, we save April every day'... so cheesy.
I also enjoyed the scene when they first met. 'Oh look, they have initials on their belts, like superheroes'. Really funny stuff.
Really liked it though. Definitely worth checking out for anyone who has been into the Turtles at any point in their lives.
