made this a discussion thread as well.
Alright, I'll try and review what I remember.
Phil Baroni vs Sadollah: I've never seen Baroni before and this guy is definately a showman. I was rooting for him being from Long Island, NY and all, but he really didn't live up to all the cocky bullshit he sported before the fight. He was kind of slow and was gassed by round 3 from what I remember. lol @ him wearing those ridiculous shades when the winner was announced.
Kendall Grove vs Rosholt: I though Rosholt was going to win this at first as he started off really good, but Kendall caught him in a nice choke fairly quickly.
Luiz Cane vs Lil Nog: Yea, I thought Cane had no chance and he really didn't do much. Nog looked super confident and it showed. He just hammered Cane with a fury on punches. Good debut. Any chance we'll ever see the two brothers fight?
Koscheck vs Johnson: I really thought Johnson would take this, but it's almost like he gave up towards the end. Johnson started really strong and then they had to stop the fight because Johnson caught Josh with a vicious knee to the eye. The fight was stopped for around 3-4 minutes. Koscheck started slow and Johnson started really fast, but the roles reversed in the 2nd round. Koscheck then just slapped on a choke and it was over. I dunno, it looked like Johnson didn't put up much of a fight to stop the choke from being applied.
Tito Ortiz vs Forrest: My two favorite fighters hooking it up. I really thought Tito won this fight (the first two rounds), but I always suck at scoring these things. Tito jut looked to have more control (takedowns, ground and pound) in the first teo rounds. Forrest for sure controlled the third round. It wasn't even close that round really. You got to finish strong. Good fight though. I'm glad Tito went the distance. He's definately still got a ton left.

I guess everyone sees these things differently. I thought Forrest would get the unanimous decision instead of the split.

it bugged me how forrest didn't go for the kill that last round. you could see tito was either gassed or mentally beaten. he was defending like he did before chuck beat him down, yet forrest was just in and out with short combos, which frustrated the shit out of me.

Seriously? In my opinion, Ortiz clearly controlled the 1st two rounds. I would also argue that if Tito was in better condition (effects of long layoff), then he would have controlled the 3rd round as well.
Tito's poor performance in round 3 was a sole result of his lack of conditioning which was due to his layoff.

It didn't bothered me. The way I saw it was that Forrest knew he had to win, since he had just lost to Evans, and was destroyed by Silva. It was a close fight, and by doing what he did, he dominated the 3rd round. Going in for the kill could have resulted in him getting taken down again, which could have cost him the fight.
Forrest probably could have finished him, but I think what he did was incredibly smart for him.

if that was his plan he was taking a big risk assuming he'd won the first two rounds tbh. plus he must have known tito was fucked by the way he didn't throw anything.
