The Los Angeles Times speculated recently that NBC Universal might be partnering with WWE to get an official “WWE Network” off the ground in 18 months or possibly longer in hopes of a roll-out around the start of 2012. The speculation was that NBC may have the Universal HD channel (currently in 55 million homes) shifted to a WWE channel. The Universal HD channel already replays Raw during the week on weekends. Since WWE is seeking a business partner, NBC Universal would make sense since they are the parent company of USA and SyFy. The only obstacle is the current negotiations by Comcast to buy NBC Universal.

Universal HD used to be a good channel and then they mucked it up with commercials and editing in movies, so go ahead I say.

They could do a new Rock n' Wrestling cartoon. It'd be in Anime-like style and star John Cena.

I wonder if they'll keep Abraham Washington long enough.

They could always bring back TNT as well.

Would a WWE network signal the end of WWE 24/7 on demand? Any news on their online services or what they plan to do with them?

Yup WWE really wanna bring back friends with rumours that Jennifer Aniston, Courtney Cox and Lisa Kudrow are signed up. Apparently the three male actors want nothing to do with it so WWE has decided to cast Jim Ross in the role of Joey, The Undertaker as Chandler and Jack Swagger will take on the role of Ross. On TMZ.com theres an article up about Harrison Ford being offered the role of Janice but i personally cant see it as WWE were leaning towards Rey Mysterio at one point.

Don't know why it would. Maybe, if it's a pay channel (no way Vince is getting on basic) they can just include 24/7. But 24/7 is a different beast from what this will be, I'm sure.

They probably would need to combine WWE 24/7 into this supposed new WWE Network channel just to fill up the daily hours or else you get something like the original G4, early Bravo, or early IFC which barely could do 6 hours of shows per day.

I'd watch if they did some sort of racy series involving Steph...totally unrealistic, but hey, I can dream...
