I didn't see a discussion about it, but did anybody else mark out really hard when Carlito came out on Raw? I knew it wouldn't happen, but I really wanted to see Carlito spit the apple in Cena's face.

Yeah it was awesome. He was the right person to be saying what he said to Cena.
Cena is one of the worst on the roster other than sales go. And the only reason he draws is because there are alot of white kids who cant just like he does.

On Raw, close to the main event. Cena's doing his usual spiel (Sp?) and Carlito comes out and tells Cena that he's basically holding down the roster, and that Sheamus represents people like Carlito.

I hope this actually means Carlito might get a mid-card push..... he is way too talented to be wasted by not being used on TV.... I realize he may not be at a main-event level, but I'd rather watch him instead of Chris Masters, his brother, etc.
Well from what I understand, Carlito isn't used much because he's a really unmotivated, lazy guy.
Cena seemed like he was gonna cry.
You don't like my hats?
I have always liked Carlito but the way he is going down hill makes me wanna cry and my guitar weep

I don't like Carlito, but I really enjoyed that segment. It would have been more effective had Carlito not used that ridiculously fake accent.

Are you kidding me? His accent is a FRACTION of what it used to be. I was glad he lessened the strength of his accent.
Although it is kind of sad... Carlito started off in a fued with Cena for the I/C title and beat him several times.

I liked the segment, and even moreso it looked like Carlito actually cared that he was doing something. The last few matches he had on RAW, he had a look on his face like he really didnt want to be there.
It also reminded me of the Punk/R-Truth segment on SD. Heel comes out, speaks the truth, and the face disregards all of it, and just uses a move and gets the pop.

I'm hoping this leads to Carlito feuding with Cena over the WWE title after he's done with Sheamus

Carlito cut a pretty nice promo, but it's hard for me to get behind the possibilities here because...well, because it's Carlito. Anytime he builds steam, he gets flatlined, usually with little to no explanation. For the sake of the feud, they probably should have just had Sheamus come out and cut the exact same promo.

Unless this leads to Carlito helping Sheamus defeat Cena at TLC. We really could end up with a Cena vs. Stable of Anti-Cena Heels story.

I've always liked Carlito. There is something really natural about the way he performs. I am convinced that the WWE does like him. If they didn't want him signed, he wouldn't be there. The man can wrestle, he can talk, and while there are reports that he is negative and such -- I would be two if I was feuding with Ric fucking Flair and left off WrestleMania for some stupid Diva shit.
I've read some reports lately that Carlito is in the WWE's "bad books." I've read a lot of dirt shit lately that has made me think "that doesn't seem right." I've been hoping recently that the WWE has been testing Carlito recently. They've kept him off TV, they didn't give him a huge push after his break-up with Primo. I'm wondering if the WWE has sort of kept Carlito cool to see if he has matured a bit, and knows his place.
I'm not suggesting that the guy is going to be the WWE Champion anytime soon; but if Carlito does what he does, and does it well (which he does), then I don't see why the guy can't fill an important role for the company. Especially considering he's got this special charisma about him. Maybe nothing that will boom the wrestling industry, but there's something to market there.

And this could be the one realistic angle that brings down Cena, if only temporarily. I'd like to see Cena cool off for a little while, leave the title scene for enough time to not be completely sick of him. I know the kiddies are high on him and such, but it would still be for the best. Maybe not in terms of merchandise sales, but seriously, that has to end eventually.
I'd love to see a stable formed that consists of mid-carders that are sick of Cena and want to destroy him. Just don't have Cena destroy them all at the same time without a scratch on him.

They could be called the Dungeon of Doom, and their sole goal will be to destroy the Cenation.

Though details are unclear, sources say Carlito’s recent absence from WWE was not an issue of creative having no plans for him. According to a source, the reason for his absence “was something bad that [WWE is] trying to keep quiet.”
woah sounds harsh, wonder what it could be?

He has been working a cross-over programme in WWC has he not?
Either way, killed him on his arse the second he got shit on and dispatched in a few seconds. Would have been better to have one or two more newer talents come and back him up and give Cena a beating or something.
Shame as well, because it was a nice promo, ironically by a man who has been with the company for 7 years, been repeatedly held down and is better on the stick, and in the ring than the guy he was putting over.

from what I have heard, WWE is not very high on Carlito because of his inability or rather unwillingness to be open to new storylines/working with talent and would rather play a game of dirty "politics" backstage. Because of that, WWE has no creative storylines for him now or in the immediate future, and I've heard it from around the way that he's on the list of potential talent, along with his brother, to be cut possibly right around or after the first of the year as it seems WWE likes to do some house cleaning generally pre and post WM time.
Strictly speaking, wouldn't this then be a 're-match' for Sheamus as well?
Yet in all of this speculation there are only references to Cena getting the re-match which makes me think that he could actually lose.
I still don't think it will happen, it's purely a hypothetical speculation.
God that sounds retarded, but you know what I mean.

THIS. Actually, first night in the company, Carlito debuts, BOOM! United States Champion, actually, not IC, although with the IC title currently on SD! I can understand your confusion. If anyone can sit here and tell me that that combined with the fact that he even beat Shelton F'N Benjamin on his first night on RAW for the Intercontinental Championship means that he's not ready for the main event because "it was 4 or 5 years ago, though, dude..." or "he's not motivated enough for the WWE Championship."? Yeah, that's just pure, unadulterated BULLSHIT.

That was the very moment the US belt lost all it's credibility in my eyes. Don't get me wrong Carlito is a decent talent now but he is no main eventer by any means. The only reason he's had championships was in part to try and boost the ratings from other demographics.

US Champions aren't exactly main-eventers. I saw Carlito's win as "proof" that he was destined for greatness and was too good to NOT be main-eventing.

Apparently he's working the Tribute to the Troops show. I hope there is renewed interest in using him. I think he would make a cool "career rival" for John Cena. Sure, they are not at the same place now, but given how since Carlito showed up, he has had some sort of problem with John Cena -- I think it would be a nice touch if Carlito was considered Cena's most prominent enemy. Note: Not his greatest; but he should hate John Cena as much as anyone else on the WWE roster (except for maybe Randy Orton).
In fact, Carlito joining Legacy could unite their goals.

He's been in the "bad books" in WWE for years, ever since he expressed his feelings towards not having his match at a WM against Ric Flair I believe.

Probably. If the WWE cared more about developing characters, Carlito being offered a position in Legacy by Randy Orton, and turning it down, could actually go towards making Carlito a cool "lone wolf" type character. Not neccessarily a bad-ass, but a guy who fights his own battles, even if he's got no chance of winning them.
It'd be good for one of those WWE Comics, though. Randy Orton and Carlito join forces to do battle with John Cena, who finds some unlikely assistance from Primo Colon. :shifty:

Jesus should make a return!
Repair Carlito and Primo, throw in Jesus, and you've got yourselves a stable. Primo recently teamed with Evan Bourne and lost. The progession is simple: Bourne and Primo always lose. Primo gets sad, then angry, Colons are back.

I actually like the subtle story going on between Evan Bourne and Primo. Granted, the WWE probably won't follow it, but one week Evan Bourne and Primo are meant to be opponents in the "Breakthrough Battle Royal Qualifying Round," and then Legacy interrupts that and they team to face Cody Rhodes & Ted DiBiase the next week. If they do a "friendly rivalry" angle between the two -- I could see it leading to good matches, and getting both guys fairly over.
I'm still not against the idea of calling Alberto Banderas up to RAW, and assigning him as Chavo Guerrero's "bodyguard/trainee." Stick Carlito with the pair, and you've got a nice little heel faction going on. Banderas has got the legitimate background, and has some size to him (although he's not a "hoss"), and Carlito & Chavo have been lost for ages.
