View Full Version : The Most Ridiculous/Hard to Believe Things Done on WWE Programming
We all know its a show, but what are some moments when you say "come on" when you watch WWE. Here are a few of mine...
Ridiculous Things:
1. Triple H dressing as Kane and pretending to fuck a corpse in a coffin.
2. The Eugene character.
3. WWE convincing Edge to make people think that he would actually be into Vickie Guererro and kissing her.
Hard to Believe Things:
1. Triple H "breaking" J.R.'s arm.
2. The Rock throwing Austin over the side of a bridge and then showing a mannequin taking the fall but portraying it to be Austin.
3. Shane McMahon super-kicking Kane into a fire filled dumpster and then Kane showing up on RAW the very next week with only a white bandage around his forearm.
Hard to believe:
Hunter falling from the crane and returning like two weeks later virtually unscathed.

Ridiculous:
The end of the Empty Arena match between Foley and Rock with the camera angle from on the forklift coming down on Rock.

The most ridiculous thing that I have witnessed on WWE programming was back in 2003 or 2004 on an episode of Raw where Triple-H was defending his World Heavyweight Championship against Shawn Michaels. So towards the end of the match, Shawn connects HHH with the super kick but we have no ref! So then Raw General Manager Eric Bischoff runs in and makes the 3 count. At that point everybody thought that Shawn Michaels had won his 2nd World Heavyweight Championship* (*The big gold belt) but then Eric announces Shawn as the winner but since the REFEREE never made the 3 count...still champion Triple-H. I was so pissed off.

Hard to believe:
Wrestlers' punches never bruise, cut, or bloody their opponents' faces
Ridiculous:
If one wrestler grabs the other by the wrist and pulls on them while pushing off their back, the victim will begin to run towards the ropes. Upon nearing the ropes, the force of the attack will cause the victim to turn 180 degrees away from the ropes. The victim will then hit the ropes back first and bounce off the ropes, running back towards the attacker.

That if a wrestler misses hitting their dropkick on their opponent that it hurts them when they land, however, if they hit their opponent with that dropkick, they land the same way and it doesn't hurt them.

Certain punches are pretty difficult to believe. Lately Christian's been making it very obvious with some of his punches, and you'll actually see him briefly putting up his left hand in front of his right before the punch. UGH.

A referee facing the titantron can't see or hear the chair shot behind him despite the fact that he has a 50 foot titantron showing him whats going on.
Missed legdrops hurt the wrestler doing the move despite the fact that his ass hits the mat even if he hits the move.
Same as above for dropkicks.
People actually employ the pumphandle lift into a slam despite the fact that its the most countered move in wrestling history.
People with an injured body part will actualy have the fucking bandage over their clothing, even if its their foot their boot for some reason will have a bandage around it......:wtf:
Chokeslam counters tend to involve the wrestler delivering it to let go of the opponents neck so their victim can either hop behind the wrestler or deliver a ddt...Why exactly?
People for some reason jump into the air for the rko and usually make it very obvious while doing so.
Womens wrestling in general...
If a wrestler is awaiting someone arriving at the arena and its 2 big names involved the person he's waiting on shows up 5 minutes before the end of the show. :wtf:
Dastardly plans are always largely hinted at in front of the camera with everyone in the arena clued into whats going on except the person whos about to be on the receiving end.
Rey Mysterio matches in general.
Commentators orgasming that Cena has lifted the big show like its their first time seeing it happen.
No one ever seems to hear the loud stomping, clapping and (now) counting that comes with Sweet Chin Music.

True but he usually misses that these days and then hits it "out of nowhere".
True, maybe they've finally wised up. I prefer the stealthy one where he's sort of just standing there having to piss before hitting it.
On that note, any moves that come in combos. For example, if you get Shoulder Blocked by Cena once, DON'T GET UP, you're getting another one or the Protobomb.

Officials stopped the fight when Cena had a small cut on his head but didn't bother to stop the fight when Orton tried to kill Cena from the pyro attack on the stage.
The referee being knocked out while all of the bad stuff happens, but then magically wakes up when a wrestler covers his opponent.

somehow they never see them coming (see john cena for further reference)

Wrestlers tend to do things week to week that would land us in jail for a long time yet they almost never see legal ramifications.

Ridiculous: February 5th, 2008 episode of ECW on SciFi - Main Event: Chavo Guerrero vs. CM Punk in the first-ever Gulf of Mexico match, where the only way to win, needless to say, was to throw your opponent into the Gulf of Mexico.

2 months and come February I, too will have seen Sheamus live. During last night's SD! broadcast, they came on with an ad saying they'd be here Feb. 12th with tix starting @ only $15...can't pass that up.

Gail Kim winning the Womens Championship and Carlito winning the US belt in their debut matches.
The ending of the Sheamus/John Cena match at the TLC PPV. I was all for Cena losing the belt, but the way they did it, all sudden and shit was just a horrible ending. It could have been more exciting like Cena attempting the attitude adjustment andthen Sheamus slips off his back, picks him up and drives him through a table like he did to Mark Cuban. The way the match ended was soooooooo awkward.
