And the Banana Split's cousin, the Electric Chair.
Those would not work on one Jean Claude Van Damme.

Meh, Frank Mur's breaking an arm or getting choked out would be a little nastier.

For me, I think it's more of a psychological thing.
side note: Would you like me to post more videos of Submissions?

Here's one from Mushin Self Defense: Catch Wrestling Legend Billy Robinson demonstrates the Double Wristlock, aka the Kimua. His Variant is quite a bit nastier than the ones you see used in MMA

Also, the bald guy is Jake Shannon, the founder of ScientificWrestling.com, a good site for catch wrestling.

That bananna split is retarded... one its incredably hard to split a dudes legs if hes at all athletic and realistically its not a submission move in the sense that if he doesnt tap, damage wont really be done. There is no possibility for breaking bone. It will only be painfull as hell.
I like the electric chair as a sweep and depending where the pressure is it might be a good submission. if its on the groin then no, but if that detail he made a point of puts a lot of tork on the knee, then yea.
I liked the add ons the guy had on the kimora if the opponent grabs his shirt. Its pretty slick im going to try that.

Some more from Mushin. A wicked ankle lock counter against people who are going for a rear naked. Why are hooks and Body Triangles the way to go on a back mount? Unorthodox-ed counters like this.

theyre the best and really only way to control a guy mounted on their back

More from Mushin, more Kimura technique. This time from a guy I'm far from a big fan of: Nick Diaz. However, I like the takedown into the submission demonstrated, and I am shocked that Nick can actually use coherent English instead of the retarded shit he usually says.

It'd be better if you could post videos of these submissions in action. Seeing them being trained doesn't really demonstrate their destructive power as much as seeing someone tap to them.

Fair enough.
Some of them I just like seeing, as they're unorthodox. Maybe not used in actual fights, but can be effective counters or stoppages. Or, in the case of the first ones, just really look like they'd suck to be in.
Give me a few moments, though.

Kimura Takedown as used by Sakuraba. Care to guess why he's called the Gracie Hunter? The Double Wristlock is also known as the Kimura, as it was Kimura who defeated Helio Gracie with it.

This one has various techniques taught at Mushin and how they're applied in actual fights. The ankle lock is at 7:00 to the end. It also shows Anatomy of a Choke theory for blood chokes and someone using their chin for a submission.

This time, a Shoulder Crank known as the Mir lock. Why is it called the Mir lock?
