Yes, 5 reasons

Metroid Prime Trilogy
Super Mario Galaxy
New super Mario Bros
Madworld
Playing Wii is very good excersize (if you stand up and don't just half ass it)

The fact that you can download the following:

Zombies ate my Neighbors
Mario RPG
Punch-Out
among other classics is reason enough.

Depends if you like replaying older games with the Virtual Console, using the Wii to play older Gamecube games, Nintendo games in general, or motion controls on games that do it right.

Its been out long enough that you could build a decent collection from a variety of genres.

The fact that you can easily hack the Wii and have these games + every NES, SNES, Genesis, Master System and Turbo Grafx 16 game ever made is reason enough

The best games on Wii are Japanese so I doubt BDC would enjoy them. He wouldn't 'get' it.

If you are like my girlfriend and you don't play it so much after the first month or so unless a new game released tickles her fancy, then no.

If you are not like my girlfriend, make me a pie.

Sadly my copy of Twilight Princess is broken so I am having a problem with this. Isn't there another way to do it?

No, unless you don't like video games.

Basically, anyone I know who actually plays games, and bought a Wii, rarely plays it.

Hmmm, I don't like a lot of new games and like stupid little fun games that have high replay values and mini games.

I agree. I bought a Wii once but rarely played it b/c I was too bust playing my 360 online. I ended up trading it in to get more games.

I would say no. The Wii's best titles are all previously released titles on the NES, SNES, and N64. Get a SNES, and you'll have all the Wii's best games.

Likewise, the Wii runs out of enjoyment after the first few months. Seen it every time with people I know of all age groups. You'll play it for at least three months, then get bored. A new game will come out, you'll get it, play until you're done and repeat.

But, that's just my two cents.

This one doesn't require any game to work.
