Synthpop/Electropop type of music seems to be all the rage these days, there is really no avoiding it when you're on a night out for example.

Some artists just experiment with it at first and it becomes popular, so they just grab on to the success the song had and they also jump on to the Synthpop/Electropop bandwagon and do all their future songs that way.

Guys like Kanye West, The Black Eyed Peas, Dizzee Rascal, Lady Gaga and so on, are all crammed on to that bandwagon.

Good hip hop will always be around. Most music on the radio is 5 times worse than it was back in the late 90's but that doesn't mean that all music is dead. It's just the focus is on really shitty, uninspired music that shakes asses mindlessly.

rock, hard rock, metal. Favorite band is Iron Maiden, second favorite is Sevendust. Other than that: Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Pearl Jam, Offspring, Dope, Disturbed....lots of others. I also like Five Finger Death Punch alot.
