Yo, check it. 2009 is coming to a close. Over the past 12 months, there has been no shortage of entertainment at the box office, and we here at the movies/tv forum feel we should honor those who made us feel extra special this year. And what better way to honor them than with the prestigious Golden Teepee Award:

http://tpww.net/forums/picture.php?albumid=95&pictureid=991

Here's how this will work: we're basically using the Golden Globes format for the major awards, but we're People's Choicing it up by letting you the viewer pick the nominees. Just movies for this year since TV seems a bit too sporadic to figure out now.

So we'll provide you with a nomination sheet, and you just fill in the blanks. The five candidates that receive the most nominations for each category will be then be voted on by you the viewer. If we don't get enough nominations then Jeritron, Theddy, and I will fill in the necessary voids and you can go fuck yourselves. But I'm sure we'll have adequate participation.

We'll say the deadline is December 26 at 12:00:00. So plenty of time to get those nominations in there. Hop to it, gang!

Still in progress. There's a few "smaller" movies I haven't gotten to see yet because of different things, like A Serious Man and Moon and such. Usually I find a way to these but I've been slowed down. They could change my list if I see them soon.

Been suprised by the huge lack of Oscar-talk movies this winter. Last few years there've been a bunch of amazing movies. This year very few interest me

For those of us that have been diligently rating movies in the "Rate the last movie you saw for the first time." thread this will be a snap.
