SO I have been bed-ridden for the last week and I have watched every single episode of Arrested Development. Unreal how hilarious this show is. Can't believe it was actually on television.

Best Character (family member):
Worst Character (family member):

Best Character (non-family):
Worst Character (non-family):

List of recurring roles/characters: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrested_Development_(TV_series)#Characters (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arrested_Development_%28TV_series%29#Characters)

Anyway talk about characters, uotes, episodes, impending movie or whatever. "Appreciation thread" I guess

Best family member: GOB Bluth. Amazing how funny GOB is. I was kind of on the side of "not really liking" Will Arnett before I watched. But GOB could bring me to tears. Tobias and George Michael are also brilliant

Worst family member: I would have said Buster up until the seal accident in the middle of season two. Having a hook for a hand did absolute wonders for his character. I'll have to say Lucille. Both her and Lindsay could be lame at times.

Best non-family member: J. Walter Weatherman. Incredible running gag. Or Steve Holt. STEVE HOLT. Can't believe he found his way into so many episodes through all 3 seasons. I thought Ben Stiller as Tony Wonder was hilarious too

Worst non-family member: Didn't care much for Lucille Austero, Stan Sitwell or Rita. I guess Rita wins.

George Michael: Uncle Gob, has Aunt Lindsay ever been pregnant?
Gob: Dozens of times, kid.

Yeah I watched all 3 seasons in like a week over the summer when I was a worthless piece of shit without a job

Hilarious show, one moment that is really standing out right now is when the plumber comes over due the house sinking and says he has found a bunch of blue paint and jean remnants coming out of the unconnected sewer pipes. Michael's reaction is hilarious

In Left 4 Dead 2 there's a character named Nick who says "You'd shoot a guy in a $4,000 suit? COME ON!"

Also in 1vs.100 you can unlock the chicken dance.

I wonder how the Arrested Development documentary is coming along. The one that I was interviewed for a little over 2 years ago.

Tobias is my favourite of the main cast. David Cross is absolutely brilliant in the role. Apparently he was being considered for GOB first, but loved the Tobias character, and felt there was so much he could do with it. Everything Tobias does pretty much cracks me up. In my opinion, the funniest character I have ever seen. GOB is runner-up, with a momentum of pure awesome behind him.

As for the worst family member? It's really hard to pick one. If I did have to choose one, I could cheat and say Stan Sitwell. But yeah, I'll go Maeby. Not that she was awful, she definitely has her moments, but she was just the weakest of an incredibly strong array, in my opinion.

There are too many great non-family characters to point out, but I think Barry Zuckerman deserves credit. For a one-off appearance, I will bring up Gene Parmesan. I don't know what it was about him, but he just cracked me up. Maybe it was his childish love for costumes, and how Lucille reacted to his unveilings. Perhaps it was his incredible name.

As for worst...gee, I dunno. I was never big on Lucille Austero. Not that she was horrid, or anything.

There isn't a 'worst character'. There are characters that are more 'boring' like Ann and Buster, but think about how many jokes the show would miss out on if they weren't around. That's what in comedy circles is called a foil.

For f's sake. I can't remember one memorable Ann line, but we still refer to one of our inlaws by 'Bland', 'Plant' and 'Egg' whenever she isn't around.

The interactions between GOB and Sitwell well hilarious, by the way:

"I hope you carry a spare bowl of candy beans!"

"F*** YOU!"

"GOB was confused."

This. I know a lot of people who watch the show who complain about Lucille's character, but she adds SO MUCH to the show. She's meant to be disliked, and she's not meant to be this clothesline for comedic gags like GOB or Tobias. That being said, I think Lucille is pretty fucking hilarious. Most underrated character on the show, in my opinion.

It also has to be mentioned that Narrator/Ron Howard probably makes me "LOL" more than anything else. I mean as Narrator they kind of walk in to so many jokes, but the execution is just "bloody brilliant"

Best Family Member: Either GOB or Tobias. Gobias. Its kind of a toss up. Pretty much everything that they do cracks me up. The very manner with which they hold themselves and speak is enough to make me laugh.

Worst Family Member: As stated, they are all good. If I had to pick, I'd probably say Lindsey. Don't know why.

Best Non-Family Character: Carl "You got a stew going on" Weathers.
Worst Non-Family Character: Probably Rita. Only because that story went on way too long.

Best Family Member: GOB, but as said already, its a tough choice.
Worst Family Member: Buster, for sure. Definitely a character that girls with no sense of humor really like.

Best non-family member: J. Walter Weatherman, Stan Mittleman (the surrogate), Barry Zuckercorn...also: Martin Short's character
Worst non-family member: Stan Sitwell

Also, how can you guys hate on rita so much??? Her character was brilliant once the twist was revealed. When you go back through and watch it, it is insanely funny how she is evidently retarded the whole time but the dialogue is so perfectly crafted you could never tell otherwise.

Well, I've always wanted to remake Annie Hall. Except, I wouldn't want to get in bed with a green producer like a Sofia Coppola though. Oh, but give me an old pro like a Robert Redford. Oh, I'd jump into bed with him in a second. And I wouldn't just lie there, Michael Bluth, if that's what you're thinking.

Yup, especially in one of the last episodes when they are talking about how the family is too proud to beg and the narrator comes in, "But we're not." Then starts asking to tell your friends to watch the show lol
