View Full Version : Hogan responds to Punk's comments
Source: tpww.net
On CM Punk’s Comments: “Well, you know, it’s kind of like the law of attraction. He’s probably going to attract more of that negative stuff to his career because, you know, if you’re functioning on that level, that’s probably what you are going to attract, but at the end of the day, you know, I was selling out Madison Square Garden when that kid was pooping in his diapers, so you know, you’re going to see what I’m all about. I’m not there to wrestle. I don’t have a contract to wrestle. I’m there to run this company. Make it better, like I said, give the talent a choice. All the talents that are locked in there…I’m sure Vince McMahon is giving CM Punk the big push but paying him crumbs, because I know how that goes, because I’m giving the fans a choice, and the talent a choice and I’m going to prove to this negative guy that he’s wrong.”
On Punk Making It Personal: “That’s cool. I understand he’s surrounded by negative stuff up there and I can see why he’s jaded in his opinion. One of the things that I learned a long time ago is that you can’t judge anyone. You can’t judge a book by it’s cover. Some of the craziest looking, weirdest people seem to be the nicest people and the most honest people in the world. I would never judge anyone before I meet them. Some day down the road, CM Punk and I are probably going to work together and I would never judge him under any preconceived notions. I would judge him on the type of person he was when I met him. It’s all good, brother. I am vibing so high brother. I am going to reward those who are with me and those who aren’t my friends, I am going to win them over and make them my friends.”

...And also probably long after Hogan's dead and gone and nobody gives a fuck about who he was anymore.

This is such a non event. CM Punk's comment were good for saying Hogan dresses like an 18 year old kid from Jersey. At least he said something remotely amusing.
Hogan is just talking the same bollocks he's been talking for years

Just reading that post makes me think that Hogan has a chance to change a lot of smarks minds starting tonight. Will he? Probably not. Will he try to? Probably not.
Hogan has gotten the rap for being a cancer on the wrestling industry and has been carrying that for some time now. And I'd assume that some of it is well deserved. But I just came to the realization that if he does with TNA what he claims he's going to he has a chance to change a lot of minds.

Hey, I'd be stoked if TNA put out quality television in giant arenas.
However, what the fuck did Punk say?

I was thinking the other day that, visually at least, TNA would be much more appealing in an actual arena rather than that small enclosed sound stage. Even if they only rented really small venues, it would do wonders for their visual presentation.

Actually he probably wont be. Punk just doesnt seem to have that "it" factor. He alone wont be selling out an arena like MSG anyways..it'll be a combination of things.

I'm sure they said the exact same thing about the guy on the right, and look how that turned out.

Punk's a better heel anyway, and it's the face that sells them out.
But, you can't have a good face without a good heel, sooooo...
Yeah, he'll be selling it out, but like you said, it's a combination.

Here is what Punk said regarding TNA and “The Hulkster”:
“My take is first of all that we have Tribute to the Troops on Saturday. That’s probably going to be a much better show than whatever TNA is going to put on.
I have a lot of friends that work there and I do watch the show, but I seem to watch it on perpetual fast forward. I hope, I really hope that something comes of it.
I have zero faith in Hulk Hogan as a man who is what? 60 years old and tries to dress like he’s 18 and lives on the Jersey Shore.
For a guy I’ve never met, I’ve formulated enough opinions about him just from being around him and like his business acumen and stuff like that, I really trust that he’s not in this for TNA and he’s not in this for the business. He’s in this for himself.
Hulk Hogan, I hope you prove me wrong. I hope there’s competition because when there’s competition we step up, everybody makes more money, and I think it makes the business healthier and that’s what I’m looking forward to, but I don’t have much hope.”

I like Punk and hate Hogan, and think he is an idiot.
However Punk should keep his mouth shut.

This clinches it.
I think this whole thing is a huge work and Hulk Hogan is going to be joining CM Punk's stable.

I pretty much agree with CM Punk's comments 100%. Even if I didn't hate Hogan, I'd agree with them. And honestly, outside of the Jersey Shore comment, I don't even see how he was "attacking" Hogan.

Yeah. Aside from attacking Hogan, how was he attacking Hogan?
But seriously, pretty funny comments from Punk. He's def a fresh sight in these terrible wrestling times.

It would make sense to heat things up, especially with this Raw vs. Impact thing going around...
CM Punk rocks though, either way.

CM will never amount to a fraction of Hogan, sorry.

Be objective when you disagree because it's true, and compared to Hogan CM Punk is a jobber.
CM will never amount to a fraction of Hogan, sorry.
That's unfair, because neither will 99% of wrestlers.

also because CM Punk said nothing that could remotely be construed as saying he's going to be anywhere near Hulk Hogan
