I dont know what the hell they were thinking, but they replaced Steve Czaban's 6-9 am show with fn Stephen A. Smith. I had just started listening to Czaban about 6 months ago when I was at work because the channel FSR is on is the only AM station that I can pick up in the building. His show was entertaining and humorous. The gambling segment on friday won me $2,000 one week. He was starting to convince me I should try p90x!

SAS makes me want to stick stuff in my ears to try and cause permanent deafness so Id never have to hear him again and it would be worth it. I gave him 2 whole days to convince me otherwise and all Im left with is that I hate him more now than I did before when he was yelling on ESPN. I will probably go back to listening to Quinn and Rose (Conservative Talk Radio FTW!)

As long as FSR doesn't fire Ben Maller again, I'll be ok. I record his show so I can listen to it at work when all the radio stations play fn community awareness programming on the mornings or just plain go out because no one's there to keep the station on the air. No one makes weekend overnight (1-6 am live on the East Coast) sports talk radio more enjoyable than Ben Maller.

Stephen A. Smith finally left ESPN? Thank god!

I remember he had a "talk show" type deal and it lasted for all of a month.

I'm pretty fucking outraged if this is true. Czaban is hilarious. That whole show is amazing. It's the only show i truely look forward to listening to. I get off at 7:30am in the morning and from 6-730, that show gets me through. I cant believe they would be this retarded.

Czabe still has a local show in DC. Im almost willing to bet with his couple of mentions of telling people not to cancel XM because he's off of FSR on his website that he might be going to the XM Sports channel since XM's Studios/HQ is in DC.

The worst radio show I have ever heard is Petros and Money, which I believe is Fox. One of our sports stations here has syndication all day, so it is Dan Patrick in the morning, Jim Rome for lunch, Scott Van Pelt, then two random people followed by Petros and Money.

They are absolutely terrible. I've considered making threads about how terrible of a show that is for a long time, but by the time I get home from work I don't care any more. It is literally like 10 wannabe USC jocks sitting in a room yelling and trying to be the loudest to say something stupid.

With that in mind, I hate pretty much all ESPN radio too. And by that, I mainly mean that I hate Mike and Mike. To me, they are the epitome of everything corporate, dull, and predictable that is ESPN. The takes you get on that show—and pretty much any of the ESPN roundtable shows now—are not unique or even interesting at all anymore.

I like Czaban, Dan Patrick, Rome. I'm kinda getting tired or JT the Brick. Mallard is ok. I actually watch Mike and Mike when i get home. Its decent. I dont mind it at all. I think they're good.

I hear JT the Brick on the way to work weekdays and he sounds like hes pissed that he got bumped by Tony Bruno back to 1-5 am east coast. Probably because he wants good calls on his show and that timeslot is death for good calls (As evidenced by Ben Maller's show)

SAS was on yesterday morning trying to say that Barry Bonds was justified in using steroids because no one said a word about McGwire using steroids, and he was hammering McGwire hard about it.

All I could think of was..

McGwire - White
Bonds - Black
SAS - Black

I really wish I had other options in the morning on the radio..ugh

He's on the station I observed over my break (97.5 The Fanatic/ESPN 950). At least, his show airs on that station. Dunno if he voice tracks it cause I kept missing him.

No one said anything about McGwire because it wasn't as big an issue at the time. He is such a cock.

All I could think of was..

McGwire - White
Bonds - Black
SAS - Black

Yeah I thought the same thing

August 11, 2010: Sports radio veteran Steve Czaban will return to network radio later this month when he joins Mission Media Group as the Washington, DC-based morning host for Sporting News Radio.

Czaban hosted syndicated programs for SNR predecessor One On One Sports from 1994-97 and for ESPN Radio in 2000. He spent 2003-09 as host of "The Steve Czaban Show/First Team on Fox," which ran on Premiere Radio Network's Fox Sports Radio. That show's co-host Scott Linn, producer Steve "Solly" Solomon and anchor Al Galdi will return with Czaban for the new program.
"Czabe is one of the great talents in radio, and his arrival is a reflection of Mission Media's commitment to seek out unique and differentiated content for our affiliate partners," said Mission Media CEO Clancy Woods. "His combination of intelligence, character and a wicked curiosity is unlike anything currently available in syndication."
Czaban is currently co-host of "The Sports Reporters," which airs in afternoon drive on Red Zebra Broadcasting's WTEM/Washington, and does a daily sports segment for "The Bob & Brian Show" on WHQG/Milwaukee; he will continue those duties.
"I appreciate the platform that SNR has given me to continue the show as it was always intended -- wide open, fun, ruthless, in-depth in content, superficial in manners," Czaban said. "We are the show that takes sports seriously, not ourselves. The show for big boys is back!"

MONDAY! 6-9 AM!

Too bad I can only get Sporting News Radio on XM 143.

Wait what radio channel is this on? Is it on FSR, or something different?

Sporting News Radio (http://sportingnewsradio.com/)

They have David Stein, Craig Sheman and Todd Wright (all Night?)

I also just found out XM dropped SNR. Its only on Sirus. And now Im pissed off.
I guess you can listen live on their website but that would require access to a computer and being up at 6 am..ugh

I only listen to Ben Maller on FSR, weekend overnight sports talk radio at its absolute best...unless it isn't.

I mean, a caller (Doc Mike) sending goat heads in the mail, a caller sending women credit cards, 14 year olds (Crying Craig from Rockland) calling and crying, 8 year old girls (Maggie) calling from Cleveland and insulting Lebron James..it can't get much better.
