I Highly reccomend it, especially if didn't watch wrestling back then or were like me and didn't really know what happened behind the scenes back then. It's funny, when the Montreal Screwjob happened, and they talk about it on the DVD, I had no clue that Bret was leaving the WWF. But yeah, the DVD shows a lot of great footage like NWO, DX, Lugar showing up on Nitro, and it has some good extras.

It would have been better if it was longer though.

I loved this period in time for wrestling, but it was too biased on the WWE's part.

I prefered WCW during that time.

In 1997, the internet was nothing and like 2000 people in the world knew Bret Hart was leaving. And most of them were probably in the biz! That's next to nothing. Nobody really knew he was leaving.

I read the extras on the dvd in terms of matches. Out of all the matches that they could have picked, they picked some really crappy one's :|

Rob nailed it. Back in 97 the internet was just about as markish as an 8 year old at a live event. There were the exceptions, but for the most part no one knew much. Mostly just people who read things like PWI thinking that they were really in the know because of it.

About as unbiased as you can get from WWE. They credited Eric Bischoff for starting up WCW's cruiserweight division. Shawn Michaels, Mick Foley, and Jim Cornette give the most unbiased interviews---especially Foley, who talks about the 1/4/99 Raw vs. Nitro battle where Nitro revealed his WWF title win, credits WCW by saying they had a main event people wanted to watch. A warning: If you were, or still are a WCW fan, skip anything that Gerald Brisco says.

The Best DVD i've seen in a while. I just wished they touched more on the bash at the beach incident with Hogan/Russo shoot. But that is my only critiscm. There is alot more in there than i thought there would be.

Go and buy it now

Actually, I thought Jericho was more honest than everyone put together. Foley was second though.

I got that DVD myself. I never really watched WCW, and didn't actually start WWF until '98, but I learned quite a bit from the DVD. Especially of how bad it was at the end of WCW's road. Most notably Eddie Guerrero said " All I wanted to do in life was wrestle, and I didn't want to wrestle anymore".
