Kane86, what it comes down to simply, is that WWE is where the money is at right now, their style is what is popular whether you, me or anyone else likes it or not.

Yes, there are plenty of people who aren't happy with the product, but the fact that they're still as big a company as they are and still selling out venues, merchandise etc, proves that those people are in the minority right now. Of course that may change, but if Danielson wants to be big in the wrestling world, then he will have to adapt to the WWE style of things. Either that or he could leave and go back to ROH, wrestle his style, and stay known only to a small amount of wrestling fans across the world.

If anything, this is going to get him a chance to win over some road agents, get some backing and perfect a character. They've already come up with something for him to do in FCW. Given the "International Superstar" moniker, it sounds like his shtick will be a WWE-friendly version of "indy king." He's been around the world, wrestled everywhere, is considered one of the best, etc.

I am hoping they do a Kaval vs. Bryan Danielson -- Loser Leaves FCW match. That would be intense. I could also see a fantastic Triple Threat for the FCW Heavyweight Championship with Justin Angel.

That was a pretty cool match. It fit the WWE's style with some spots that will no doubt become "vintage Danielson!" The fans did really get into him, and he knew exactly what to do at all times.

Through that video you can also see Chavo Guerrero's worth to the WWE. The fans started off being far more interested in booing Chavo than cheering Danielson; but that heat was transferred over to become "pro-Danielson" heat. Chavo does his job as a heel very well. I don't think Danielson feels "rusty," at all. That match went down without too much of a hitch at all. Especially considering that AmDrag is not used to competing in front of crowds that size and is not familiar in working with Chavo. I feel that he is just showing some tact by going to FCW.

For his size, he's got potential. He worked a show for a promotion I was booked on two summers ago. I was never a fan of his work on TNA, with that stupid ass "rock band" gimmick but my opinion turned around when I got a chance to see him work and it was pretty damn good. Danielson and Low Ki are very impressive too. Sure they can out wrestle Lance, but Lance gets it and must be doing something RIGHT to be in the spot (main roster). I hope not. I haven't seen enough of his work but what I have seen I have enjoyed. The way they've booked Drew McIntyre is the perfect way to book Danielson, whether he's face or heel, once he actually makes it to a show.

let him get in the ring and wrestle. Give him some mic time, and have hom go over some legit mid card talen. No squash matches against hometown jobbers.

I get their thinking honestly...because the people that DIDN'T know of him will laugh when Daniel Bryan gets future endeavor'd after a year and goes to TNA as Bryan Danielson and they'll think..."LOL TNA still trying to rip off WWE with that name!"</font>

I may be wrong, but I am going to suggest a hypothesis here: I suspect that the name change may be Bryan Danielson's idea himself. In the past, Shawn Michaels' boys have always been allowed to keep their real name. Lance Cade (unless Storm was around), Brian Kendrick and Paul London all got to use their birth names. Danielson has wrestled more than a few times for the WWE, and has always used his real name. Granted, it's not such a big deal, but previously, a few big indy stars have appeared under ring names.

With Danielson being the one to suggest he goes to FCW (and ultimately being involved in this NXT project consequently), he has sort of shown he has a mind of how to rub people the right way. Maybe the name change is a way of saying "Hey Vince, I know you'd let me compete as myself, but how would you like to trademark my ring name?" "How would you like a push, Bryan?" "No, no, it's Daniel now."

I could be completely wrong, but you have David Otunga seemingly set to use his real name. No doubt the WWE loves to trademark and such, but I could very easily see this being partially Danielson's idea. I'd love to hear if some sort of backstage story about this leaks.

I don't know. He kind of looks like an "Xavier" to me. Xavier Daniels for World Champ. Actually, that should be the WWE's trademark name for Christopher Daniels if The Fallen Angel jumps.
