I just found out about this game. It's by Twisted Pixel and will be on XBLA sometime this year. It looks like it could be another gem from them and I thought I'd spread the word. Splosion Man was great and The Maw was ok but got dull quite quick.
Reminds me of Comix Zone but with guns and humour.

Yea I remember seeing the trailer for this a while back right after I finally bet Splosion Man...

Im looking forward to it just because of how awesome Splosion was. I only played a demo for Maw and never really got into it that much but I loved the shit out of Splosion. I keep waiting for possibly some DLC for the game.

Looks cool. The gameplay makes a difference, though.

They say this is the game they have been wanting to make all along. They've shown they can do a good platformer and they have a way with humour. So long as they can pull off the combat, it should be good.
We should get gameplay soon.

Yeah, this thread is 4 months old but here is our first look at gameplay.

Doesn't look half bad.

The game will be up for download on Wednesday for 1200 MSP. I glanced at a review or two and they say the games really good and worth the price.

So I've finished the game. It's a lot of fun and genuinely funny but can get a little tricky in the run & gun areas but that's not exactly a bad thing despite what everyone else says.

I'm sure if it was a new Contra game that was brick hard the same group of complainers would be wanking furiously over how "hardcore" the game was but Comic Jumper isn't Contra so anything that's tough is suddenly a bad thing.

My one complaint is that certain art styles make it hard to see certain enemies or projectiles when you're focusing on two or three areas of the screen at once.

One peice of concept art you an buy in game says they may do a sequel or DLC is the game sells enough so I'm hoping that works out.

I agree with Drak's statements on this game. Still feel like 800 points would have been more reasonable. The previews made it seem like different comic eras had completely different gameplay.
