View Full Version : What would you like to see happen in the Rumble this year?

One thing I'd love to see is someone like HHH entering at number 7 and getting eliminated shortly after the number 13 entrant. It could set up a Mania with HHH and whoever eliminates him. If it's HBK who eliminates him HHH could snap and turn heel (yet again) . I'd rather HHH stay face for now though.

I think Sheamus is going to drop the title to Orton. If that's the case you can have Dibiase or Kofi look like they could win the Rumble. Orton could run out towards the end when it's just Kofi (or Dibiase) standing in the ring and hit an RKO. They get eliminated shortly after and then you have a two month program setting up a Mania title match. I really don't think WWE are going to have Sheamus headline the real 25th anniversary of Wrestlemania.

I'd like to see Christian drop the belt then enter the Rumble and win it... eventually ending Undertaker's streak and unifying every title the next night on Raw. I don't want Jackson to be champ though. Christian can hold onto his belt and then win the Rumble.

Rey isn't going to win (please let that be true), but I hope Taker and him can have a pretty good match.

I also would love to see a new person enter every 2 minutes. I know WWE changes up the times every now and then. What was the year where the Rumble wasn't even the main event match?

Big Show has to look dominating, but it would be cool to have a younger guy or two eliminate him.

I just don't want too much predictability. The main thing I want to see is a good Rumble. Hopefully something cool and memorable happens.

Jericho winning would be bad ass. I doubt he'll win though.

Yeah, just a bit of unpredictability.

And something different happening, as in - 2000 Too Cool Dance/Rikishi hot streak, 2001 Drew Carey/Kane hot streak, 2002 Random ass returns, 2003 Cena Rapping To the Ring, 2004 Number 1 entrant wins, 2005 Smackdown V Raw battle, etc etc...

I don't think it will happen, but I'd kinda love to see Vince enter the Rumble and try to become the next multi-time winner. But when he enters, he just walks to the table and sits in on commentary ala 1999.

Sets up nicely for Bret Hart to come in from the crowd or something, drag Vince from the table, throw him in the ring to be eliminated by HBK or somebody, and continue the feud.

I'd also still like to see a surprise Kane victory.

Still do have slight hope.

I like that idea, but more so if Bret was a surprise entrant in the Rumble. Vince sitting at the booth wouldn't really have the same effect, but something along those lines would be amazing. I just can't think of a reason for Vince to be in the Rumble this year without announcing Bret as an entrant first.

Problem with Bret as an entrant is that I have a hard time seeing him get over the top rope. :o Even if he is clearly there just to eliminate Vince...he'd still have to climb over the top awkwardly to get out.

C.M. Punk and Luke Gallows entering #1 and #2, and instead of fighting using the time they have in the ring together before the #3 entrant comes to cut a Straight Edge promo. The heat would be immense. I doubt Gallows makes it into the Rumble, but if Punk enters #1 he could still cut a quick promo before the #2 guy is announced.

Big Show skinning the cat is mandatory every year. As is Cole and Lawler freaking out about it.

Hopefully some of the ECW guys are allowed to make a couple eliminations as a way to gain more exposure and maybe a little momentum heading into MITB. Maybe something like Ryder throwing someone over the top, taunting the guy on the outside with the "WOO WOO WOO YOU KNOW IT" line, only to get tossed over from behind by someone else.

I want Miz and Morrison as #1 and #2 with Morrison eliminating Miz after they both have a decent amount of time in the match.

Punk and Jericho in the final 4 would be nice.

i want it to be down to 2 guys left in the ring with only the number 30 entrant left...the two guys in the ring then do a move where they both get eliminated...therefore the 30th entrant wins via default as soon as he enters the ring...this would be a good way to bring back a main eventer who isnt cleared yet but will be by mania (Edge).

I'd like to see some crazy eliminations. Also I want a big name to come in and just clear the ring like Austin with stunners or Angle in 2005 with his Olympic Slam. Maybe HBK comes in and SCM's everyone.

I'd like to see people actually team up this year. The logical choice would be Punk and Gallows. Have them work together until they're both eliminated or Punk wins. :D

It'd look more like a legit threat if two people are watching each others back, and the only time I recall this happening was at the start of 2005.

Something similar happened last year, when Legacy made it to the Final Four, along with Orton and Triple H. H dumped both of Legacy, allowing Orton to sneak up from behind and flip him over the top for the win.

Seriously I'd love for punk or Jericho to win but if he wont win I'd at least love for jericho to be one of the last men standing and have his arrogance be his undoing. As far as punk I'd like to see his disciples play a significant part in preventing him from being eliminated when he shouldve been more than a few times.

I would love to see Taker retain the title, the rumble happens, the final two are Jericho and Michaels who are exhausted, GONG, Taker comes out and chokeslams HBM out of the ring, Jericho wins, but as he's getting up Taker grabs him, Tombstone. Taker pose. out.

Just think that would be a really cool way to end it, obviously still pushes for Taker/HBK at Mania, Jericho gets a win (in heelish fashion), and then Jericho can challenge for the WWE Title at Mania in his on going quest to stay on RAW.

Nobody gets eliminated until number 30 enters the ring and then all hell breaks loose when the ring buckles and breaks causing all 30 men to simotaneously touch the floor with both feet at the exact same time.

Yes I have been drinking.

On the front page: Jorge Uribe sent this along: On netflix.com they have a Royal Rumble 2010 DVD cover of Edge dressed as Sweeney Todd, can this mean anything for the surprise entrants?

I would love to see it come down between Triple H & HBK, It would lead to the split of DX. HHH tosses Shawn over, Shawn hangs on like he normally does as HHH celerbrates his "win". Cue the sweet chin music, hits HHH and sends him over the top rope.

Shawn grabs the mic and says he is going to Smackdown to challenge Taker for the title at WM. Taker's bell hits and the lights go out and come back up, Taker behind Shawn. Taker chokeslams or gives The Last Ride to HBK.

I would love to see HBK win at WM finally ending taker's streak, seeing as Taker has been talking retirement. Maybe make it a Buried Alive Match, or Hell... a GOOD Hell in the cell, blood and Taker going threw the top of the cage.

Taker, the most broken down worker since Terry Funk, going through the top of the cage. What a lovely sendoff.

I would love to see John Morrison and The Miz start at #1 and #2. Big Show and The Miz would make great counterparts for Matt Hardy and The Great Khali during the match. I'd like to see The Miz shock everyone by eliminating a few of the bigger men in the match -- The Great Khali and Mark Henry, for example. Eventually he is eliminated by MVP to continue their program over the US Title.

I'd like to see Batista enter the match, and dominate everyone. He goes to Spear John Morrison, or something, but Morrison pulls down the rope, and Batista is eliminated before even the next entrant enters. Batista destroys Morrison for this -- setting up a feud between the two, and the next entrant happens to be Drew McIntyre, who tosses Morrison over as Michael Cole screams about how lame it is.

I'd like to see Kane toss out a few people, and perhaps even be the trigger of the Santino Marella spot where he throws himself out. Eventually, Dolph Ziggler's number is called, and he runs to the ring, only to be eliminated by Kane in quick fashion like the previous year. Ziggler grabs onto Kane from outside, though, and this distracts Kane long enough for Drew McIntyre to eliminate him.

If Rob Van Dam is in the Royal Rumble, he has to -- just HAS to -- be eliminated by CM Punk. I'd like to see Triple H and Shawn Michaels trying to muscle each other over the top rope (in a sporting sort of way), only for Chris Jericho to dump them both out simultaneously. I'd like to see Legacy work together for a bit, only for Ted DiBiase to toss out Cody Rhodes from behind. He can then go on to the end of the match, only to be eliminated by Kofi Kingston.

The match coming down to John Cena and Chris Jericho seems like it could be a fun Rumble finish. They could either have Cena win cleanly, or have Edge come down and screw Jericho out of it. But either way, I think John Cena winning the Rumble and challenging The Undertaker for the World Heavyweight Championship is a money match.

Batista to come out holding a tv, a NES, and a controller. Then he sits down on the announcer table and plugs everything in and does the Konami code. After that he tells whoever is doing the Rumble play by play there is no need for him to enter since he got his title shot for Wrestlemania and walks away.

Realistically, would be interesting to have the final four wrestlers contain 3 people nobody would expect to be in the final four and the 4th wrestler be a popular pick to win the rumble. Then have the 3 random wrestlers team up and attack the establish wrestler to create the illusion of an upset win being possible. Based on who the random 3 wrestlers are, the WWE could either have the establish wrestler fend off and eliminate 2 of the 3 wrestlers but then get eliminated for the upset or eliminate all 3 in a tough final four.

Either way, the Rumble would be guaranteed to have an interesting finish with either an upset winner produced or have the popular pick fight hard to win his spot.

The WWE have been pretty surprisingly lately. Someone winning it out of the blue this year is more likely than previous years, in my opinion. I mean, right now, Sheamus is WWE Champion. What do people actually see him doing at WrestleMania? He could drop the title to Randy Orton, but that also doesn't fit in with what people envision for WrestleMania plans. Sheamus could drop the title at Elimination Chamber, but that's sort of leaving it to the last minute, and he still needs something to do for Mania.

Truthfully, I see Sheamus losing the WWE Title to Triple H or Shawn Michaels, and then entering Money in the Bank, and vowing to use the title shot to unseat whoever is WWE Champion -- but right now things are pretty chaotic. How would people feel about Sheamus vs. Kofi Kingston for the WWE Title at WrestleMania while all the "big names" fight in separate feuds?
