Got 2 red lights a couple weeks ago. Roxer said I should open it up, but I didn't want to void the warranty.
So I bought a laptop cooling pad and put it under the 360. Havn't had a problem since. Even played dragon age for a few hours.(red lights usually pops up after 5 minutes)
JUST SAY NO TO JOEY ROXER

You'll be good for about 2 months.
Your shits too dusty though. You'll crack it open eventually.
I always say no to Joey Roxer. He just takes me by force.

I will open it up when the rrod warranty runs out.

Also, throw in a play and charge kit just before you turn it off and it'll keep the fans running while it's turned off and keep it cooler quicker.

It's one of the halo 3 ones, so it's not a jasper. Might not even be the model before jasper, dunno. So I'm not going to open it up, when it's more prone to rrod.

I've heard that simply dampening a small towel the length of the bottom of an XBox 360 and allowing it to dry ever so slightly before placing the towel on an even surface, and the bottom portion of the 360 on that will even help cool it. Who knew it was so simple?

Yeah.
Also ice cubes in the disc tray.

I just stick my XBox in a mini-fridge. I have holes drilled out for the cables, and I'm good to go.

I think you mis-read the towel trick. It's for wrapping around a console to make it over-heat on the off-chance your board re-warps and components re-solder themselves.

I think you're giving him too much credit for even possibly knowing that

Don't use anything wet, as condensation will kill it.

Yeah that's how it went. Thank you. I didn't mis-read it or anything, it's just been like 2 or 3 years since I actually looked it up, and thus I kinda forgot the jist of it, since it's not really all that important knowledge to me.

Whatever. Sucks for you. I still have my unit I bought launch day. Got the red ring a while back and they had it back to me in 8 days. Same unit, works like a champ.
