View Full Version : WTF @ Big Show and Jericho?

Jesus Christ they are both horribly misused. I really don't like Jericho anymore, he bores the crap out of me and there are tons of threads crying about his gimmicks so I won't go into that.
Big Show, while being a typical hoss/giant isn't really the most exciting worker in the ring, given few exceptions.
But both of these guys are pretty much team players and it's just a damn shame to see them horribly misused like this.
You might think Show is boring, but nobody thought so when he was destroying rings or chokeslamming people through them (whether or not it was an obvious cut-out ahead of time).
And even though Jericho has lost his flavor to me, he has been around for a LONG time, has established a pretty damn big fan base and does not deserve retarded writing either.
It is funny, to a degree, but not when you bump them down in the card to some "european title level" retards, I realize the WWE has been lacking in solid tag teams lately, but jesus.
Why did I start watching this crap again. I'm almost looking forward to the Bret Hart thing being over so I can stop.

Agree somewhat about Jericho when he was mainly on Raw after loosing the tag titles but to be fair he is helping R-Truth in their feud and has a better chance of being back in the main event scene on Smackdown than he would if he was a Raw wrestler.

I'm thinking/hoping Jericho is going to win the Smackdown Elimination Chamber match for the title and will then face Edge at Wrestlemania but that's probably not going to happen.

I called that in the rumble thread! Its a pretty obvious way for it to happen, kinda hoping jericho wins at mania too, so its not just shitty short title reign.

You're watching the WWE again because of Bret Hart, which in all likelihood will end at Wrestlemania with two guys over 50 in a no DQ match walking around the ring punching each other in the head until Bret puts Vince in the Sharpshooter and you're complaining?

Triple H was hotter than he has ever been in his whole career at that time. Would have been silly to have Jericho retain.
And I see no problem with DX beating him and show. They had a really good run with the belts, and DX is the best option to dethrone them, as they are easily the hottest tag team in the company.

Not to mention that since losing those tag titles, yes he's been losing some matches, but he's between fueds.
The Jerishow thing was great. Losing the titles to DX, like you said, is no problem. Now he's just been in limbo until his next program comes up, which is more than likely going to be a major fued with Edge going into Wrestlemania, probably for a world title.
What triggered this RockBottom? Because he's not in a big angle right now, or because he didn't win the rumble? I don't see either of these things as misuse. I dunno, just don't know what you're talking about.

Since Jericho has returned, he's been a top heel on both brands. He's main evented a number of PPVs and held a couple world titles.
He had a lengthy fued with Shawn Michaels that was basically fued of the decade, and he was in great tag teams that were main event level with Edge and Big Show.
Plus they involve him in any and every celebrity moment that will end up getting mainstream exposure. He wrestles everyone on the card and has great matches.
In the future I'm sure there are plenty more world titles, main events, and great fueds to come. I'd be pretty suprised if he doesn't steal the title from Undertaker at Elimination Chamber thanks to Shawn, and end up facing Edge in a main event at Mania.
Plus there are still tons of great programs left for him to be involved in in the future.
As a Jericho mark, I couldn't be more happy with how he's been used since returning. I actually think it's the best WWE has used him since 2000.
Jeritron
02-02-2010, 01:29 AM
Big Show has been used fine. It's not the best he's been utilized, but not the worst either.
Overall, I think the way they've been using him since his return in 2008-present has been pretty damn good.
Much better than the way he was used when he was first brought into the company, and most time periods after that.
The only time I think he was really being used any better was his ECW title run, and maybe a short time in 2002-2003.

Partly why I don't post here anymore. Also, my interest in wrestling is now such, that I havn't watched raw or smackdown in several years. Still pick up PPVs on dvd here and there, but that's it. Was really into the new ecw when it debuted, as it was easily the best wrestling on tv, but then heyman slowly lost all his creative power, and was eventually released, and then it all went to shit.
Actually tried to get back into it during the last kotr, cause I'm a big Regal mark, but then he got suspended, and I said fuck this.
Jeritron
02-02-2010, 02:09 AM
ECW was still great wrestling after Heyman lost his power, in my view. I haven't been watching it lately so I don't know if it still is, but up through last year it was still fantastic wrestling programming, cut and dry.
No major storylines or sports entertainment, just matches and title fueds.
I think the key to enjoying the new ECW is and always has been getting over the original ECW and letting it go, and accepting it for what it is.
I can't stand looking at Big Show in his new attire. He looks like a giant candy or something.

Well, if you don't agree with me you're certainly entitled to your opinion. However, as someone stated, I was more so talking about these stupid segments of homosexuality between these two guys.
I mean, at least learn to read.
And checking out wrestling again because a childhood icon of mine is involved with it again is not necessarily a huge deal either. I have to question the reason why I watched a bunch of jocks touching and sweating all over each other in the first place.
I don't really care about Jericho in any kind of main event. Or his belts. I mean if people are really satisfied with people like Edge, more power to you
And Juan, calling bullshit on some of the talent that actually plays for the team being cast as homosexuals doesn't at all insinuate that I don't know how wrestling works, I have called some things to happen that no one on this forum even saw coming before
So w/e

There's no mention of anything remotely close to this in the original post. It's really just a lot of rambling, incoherent nonsense with a general feel of complaint towards how they are being used.
I mean, at least learn to read.
I mean, at least learn how to write and then read it back to yourself.
Oh, so Rock Bottom is one of those "I'm too cool for wrestling" kind of guys. Got it.

Rock Bottom, if I'm reading you correctly you've just started watching wrestling again because Bret has returned. You're unsatisfied with Edge, but keep in mind you've missed a lot of Edge matches. You missing those would be like not watching when Triple H is the leader of DX and the tuning back in when he's facing Austin for the WWF title. So that, but for all of the booking you haven't kept up with.

Jericho's fine. I'm probably the biggest Jericho mark in a 100 mile radius, but I also don't care if he wins or loses. As long as he's having matches on a regular basis, I'm a happy little injun.
If this is a "grind my gears thread" tho, I'm not as active on here due to 10 page convos about how Zach Ryder needs to unify all of the Brand titles in a 3-hour Iron Man match with Jack Swagger RITE NAO. I hate shit like that. :shifty:

The entire segment was played deliberately for the notion.
Besides, saying Michaels' line was gayer than anything the love birds said is kind of like saying getting fucked in the ass is gayer than sucking dick. They're both pretty gay, man.
