The Blockbuster closet to the University of Massachusetts closed down this past semester. I've been thinking about subscribing to Gamefly, and wanted to know if anybody had used it before and thought it was worth or not worth the money.

Have it, love it. Little pricey but tome it's worth it. You usually get new games on release day and depending where you live, getting a game takes only a couple days. Their customer service is pretty good, if you get a bad game they'll send you a replacement or the next game on your list the day you let them know (if you do it early enough) without waiting for you to send the bad copy back.

Every 3 months you get a reward. Don't remember what everything was at first, but I've had them for about 2 years so now I get a 10% discount on buying used games and every 3 months I get a $5 coupon. Pretty decent.

I'd recommend GameFly to pretty much everybody

My biggest complaint is how slow Gamefly could be. Possibly a location thing, but I can send something back to them, and it's four days or more before they recognize its arrival. Compare this to Netflix which is almost always overnight.

Otherwise, it is what it claims to be.

I live in San Antonio, all of an hour from their Austin distribution center, so yeah my times are pretty good.

But even before the Austin center opened times were decent. They used to have the barcodes scanned by the USPS so they knew you were sending a game back before it got there, but they stopped doing that it seems.

Occasionally I get where it takes a few days for them to receive a game, but I figure that's more the postal service then GameFly

Never used it but wanted to buy some of their older used titles one time. Main thing I didn't like was pricing of the games being too high when all they would send is just the disc and nothing else (similar to renting with them).

I use it, and I like it.

I don't have issues with speed, as they're pretty fast usually. (I'll get the notification it shipped, and usually get it a day or two later). Also, it's great for buying games. Usually I can get a game through them for about 40-45 with my % off and coupons, and these are games that just came out.

They send you everything. I've bought games after renting them for a while and they send you the case and manual, so I'd assume it'd work the same just buying used games too.

I had it twice and I NEVER got the new releases when they came out. They would even sometimes randomly send me a game 4th or 5th on my list. Yeah, not gonna trust them again. :n:

They send the first available game. So if they're out of 1-4, you're getting the 5th. But since I first got them their stock has improved and they're never really out of anything anymore.

Time depends on location. Like I said before, I'm an hour away from a distribution center so I can get games release day. I'm sure for anyone else not in my situation it's different
