Dunno about this though. Second one wrapped everything up, and ended perfect.

I read that the 3rd installment would involve the black chicks daughter seeking revenge against The Bride?
That would be the only thing that makes sense. When he keeps mentioning the 10 year thing maybe he's just trying to deter people from thinking that he actually wants 10 years to pass so the little girl is actually old enough to seek revenge.

So far the only confirmed character is The Bride. Elle Driver and Sophie are rumored. Nothing else yet though.
Small point but calling it 'Kill Bill 3' would seem a bit odd given the fact that the bride killed him already

Yeah who knows though, could be until 2017 before we see this. Tarantino never has any idea what he's going to do in the next 5 minutes, let alone few years

I'll believe it when it actually comes out.

By the laws of the film, Kia would be the good guy and the Bride would now be the bad guy. I think the only way to go about this would be to have Kia kill the Bride and then have both daughters fight.

The most logical plot, storywise.

Yea, seriously.
Tarantino is known for taking long periods of time to finally get around to projects, and often times not getting around to them at all.I think only James Cameron rivals him as far as time between projects goes, and amount of potential projects announced.
I remember the long talked about Vega Brothers movie that never took shape. That's never going to happen. Then there was his proposed James Bond installment.
Even Inglorious Basterds was talked about for ages before it actually got made. I'm half suprised it ended up happening.
I'm sure it will probably be another 5 years before his next project finally gets off the ground, and I doubt it will be Kill Bill vol. 3
It will probably be that Western he's been talking about that transplants the genre to the South, in the 19th century. A "Southern."
That's another one he's talked about for ages and is still yet to hit the big screen. I'm not holding my breath though. Inglorious isn't even a year old, and he's probably going to take at least another year or two off before he starts "the writing process", which apparently takes him a few years as well.

Yeah I remember he was going to make some kung-fu movie entirely in Mandarin a few years back.
A "southern" would be fucking sweet though

I remember he was once talking about filming 'The Vegas Brothers' with Vic and Vincent running shit in Amsterdam, but then time went on too much, Travolta and Madsen got too od, esp considering it would've been a prequel.

Am I the only one who thinks Tarantino is overrated?

I could see how one would think that, but I disagree. There is no director like him, and he makes consistently original, funny, and intense movies like no one else.
People say he just steals material from everyone else, which you could certainly argue, but I see him more like a DJ who samples from all over the place to create something completely original, and often times far surpassing the source material.
Not to mention his infinitely quotable dialogue, I think he's one of the best filmmakers alive

This is dissapointing news. Honestly. I thought Quentin had a better grasp on what works and what should NOT work than this.
Dude is so smart and savvy and original I hate to see another 2 or 3 years without a new creation.
BTW I love the Bill movies I just don't deem this necessary at all.

doubt it will actually be called Kill Bill 3, if it happens. Likely just a working title.

It might as well be called Kill Bill 3 since it's the same franchise. The closest comparison I can think of would be Saw. The saw is really only used in the climax of the first film, yet the franchise is named after it.

Nah don't think he will call it Kill Bill vol. 3
Probably something involving killing the Bride/Beatrix
I bet it's going to be a completely standalone plot with its own unique style separate from the other two movies. It's not like QT to repeat himself in any way, really
Jon Kano

So if it's NOT like him to repeat himself, in order to be original and throw people off, wouldn't he actually 'repeat himself'?
