Is it true that WCW used to reshoot entrances because people were booing/cheering the wrong guy? And is it true that they had "Cue Cards" to tell them when to boo/cheer? Ive heard this, but dunno how true it is...

Would kinda make sense given the kinda crowds wcw attracted down in that southern region (hyuk hyuk). Maybe in the early days when they shot at that sound stage on disney studios (i think).

Considering nitro was live i dont think they could do reshoots. Thunder and WCW Saturday Night however I dont know.

I do know for a fact that they use to give ticket away to make it look like the event was packed...which i guess it was...

I dont know why a lot of people bad mouth the WCW. I always enjoyed watching the show...even at the end when everything was messed up.

I knew they gave away tickets, alot of people know that... I didnt mean Nitro, I meant their little shows at the sound stage, or even others in very small arenas...

u mean house shows then? I dont think they would care about who the crowd cheer for then or doing anything like interviews or retakes or anything like that.

They rarely had house shows from what I've understood. Anyway, I think he means like their Saturday night show.

Anyway, they would add crowd chants. Like I remember for Goldberg they used to start the chants themselves so that the fans got into it. Or something like that.

1) WCW had house shows quite often. Nothing like the WWF schedule, but not non-existent like a lot of people make it sound. It wasn't rarely, but it wasn't regularly either.

2) WWF gave away just as many,if not more, tickets as WCW did. Nine out of ten promotions did it,and still do. It's a long standing tradition in the wrestling business.

3) I heard WCW would reshoot some entrances for the younger guys towards the end of the company. For example,NBT would come out to a face reaction, when they had to have a heel one. Things like that.

They also would have to do some re-shoots on the intros because sometimes things did not work out the way they needed em' (lighting was off, music was off,etc..).

4) Never heard of any cue cards at all. I don't think that they did stuff like that, and I have never heard of anything like it at all - but that doesn't mean it never happened (even as a one time occurence).

5) They would pipe in Goldberg chants at the beginning (and even during his high points) to get live crowd into the chanting. Sometimes it'd work, sometimes it wouldn't.

WWE still pipes in things... I remember at SummerSlam 02 during a match there was a low pounding to get the crowd going for someone (Didnt hear it on the DVD), I think it was for Kidman.... Its funny, and sometimes sad, when they pipe in chants and no one in the camera's view is moving

Anyway, yeah, about the reshooting for the jobbers and lighting, etc... That must be what I heard...

The only time WCW basically told the audience to cheer or boo was at Unversial tapings.

Both WWE and WCW have been guilty of both piping in sounds and removing crowd reactions.

Probably, I brought it up awhile ago that the match between Booker T and Bob Holly was a borefest and the crowd was hot. But then, you look at the crowd and they're not moving at all.

If you remember,WWE did a re-shoot on an Angle/Undertaker match I think it was. It looked horrible on TV,because it was so obvious that they were WWE employees in the seats instead of the real crowd.

I also heard that they reshot the Booker-Holly match at the tapings a few weeks ago because Booker didnt have the tights pulled... But all they did was have Booker come back out and challange Holly to another "Match", and they just reshot the finish...

Speaking of piped in sounds. Just watched the Eddie G and Big Show match tonight on Smackdown!, and well, that "na na na na" song was sang over and over and over. I've never heard it sung for that long on any wrestling program. Furthermore, it sounded fake and nobody was singing it on the isleway to the back.
