View Full Version : My band's first recording

My band recorded an instrumental cover of Coheed and Cambria's "Time Consumer" song. I know the bass is out of tune, don't even get me started. :p

But tell me what you think overall. The drums were done in one take, guitar in 2, bass in 2. I recorded it all in my room, using my computer.

Yeah. I play guitar by the way.

Thanks.

I don't know if you will like it :p But there are none of my shitty vocals, so at least your ears probably won't bleed.

   You've done well dude. But I wouldn't say the bass being out of key is *that* noticeable. However, did the bassist 'simplify' the bassline somewhat? Just from what I can hear it doesn't sound as complex as in the original.

You rocked my little punk rock socks off.

Well, I'm not a bloody mind-reader

Either way, it was still awesome. Very well done for a first recording. :y:

No, I didn't mean that in an insulting way, I was just saying, that's why it is less complex. :p

I know you didn't mean it as an insult, that's why my comment was sarcastic ie ""

COMMUNICATION, DEREK. COMMUNICATION.

I'll record Claudio vocals for you and send them over ala Robert Smith/Blink-182.

I'm ashamed I can sing that high. :$

Pretty good, kind of a strange song with the random rests in it, but good for a bedroom recording. :y:
