With the closure of ECW tonight, each member of its roster is now a free agent and has to try and cram themselves into the rosters where many talent struggle for time or could get released altogether. ECW’s roster was…

Christian
Ezekiel Jackson
William Regal
Yoshi Tatsu
Zach Ryder
Goldust
Shelton Benjamin
Lance Hoyt
Vladimir Kozlov
Abraham Washington
Tony Atlas
Trent Barretta
Caylen Croft
Tyler Reks
The Hurricane
Rosa Mendes
Tiffany
Savannah
Josh Matthews
Byron Saxton

My predictions:

Christian, Croft, Jackson, Benjamin, Hurricane, Barretta, Kozlov, & Ryder to SmackDown
Goldust & Regal to RAW

The rest? Not sure. Wish Goldust would get a run with the belt, and Regal needs to go to RAW.

Hoyt was in ECW? WoW, that's how long it's been since I've watched that crap.

Only that's his TNA name. When he joined WWE and was sent to ECW, he's been called Vance Archer ever since.

He's ugly as sin, can't wrestle for shit, and has no charisma whatsoever, and I'm fairly sure he can't even work a mic all that well. Waste of time is what this guy is.

Well I don't know/care where people end up, it will be a great thing for both shows, as both need new talent asap, and the ECW roster will help out huge.

I really hope for Goldust, Regal, Jackson, Tatsu, and of course Christian to be focused on the most.

a perfect fit for RAW

I like Vance Archer. Not to the point where I "mark" for him; but his work with Shelton Benjamin was really quite good. For a guy his size, he is quite passable. He's comparable with Mike Knox to me. I think he'd be better on SmackDown! than RAW, due to the longer nature of the matches, allowing Archer's strengths to shine. Perhaps put him in a bodyguard role, or something. And call him ugly as sin, if you want -- but the dude has banged Christy Hemme. Props.

I'm going to go with a different set-up than most would:

RAW
Abraham Washington
Christian
Ezekiel Jackson
Goldust
Josh Mathews
The Hurricane
Tiffany
Tony Atlas
Tyler Reks
Vladimir Kozlov
Yoshi Tatsu

Christian as an upper mid-card face. Especially if Shawn Michaels moves to SmackDown! to feud with The Undertaker for a little bit. Ezekiel Jackson as a strong heel for the roster. Goldust can be a plucky face, be over, maybe put some talent over, and team with Yoshi Tatsu for a little bit. Josh Mathews as the backstage interviewer. Gregory Helms as another backstage interviewer, and as The Hurricane he can put some heels over. Tiffany as their General Manager, although she would take a backseat to the Guest Hosts. It at least gives RAW a consistent authority figure to be a presence on PPVs and such. Tony Atlas to manage MVP and Mark Henry and continue his stuff on The Abraham Washington Show. Tyler Reks as a lower-card heel putting face guys over. Vladimir Kozlov to keep crap on the crappy shot. Yoshi Tatsu as a plucky mid-card babyface. He can kick Chavo and Carlito in the head for a few weeks.

SmackDown!
Byron Saxton
Caylen Croft
Rosa Mendes
Savannah
Shelton Benjamin
Trent Barreta
Vance Archer
William Regal
Zack Ryder

Byron Saxton and Savannah as backstage interviewers. Caylen Croft & Trent Barreta in the tag ranks. Zack Ryder & Rosa Mendes doing their thing there. Vance Archer as their bodyguard. Shelton Benjamin could wrestle some great matches there. William Regal will be awesome wherever he goes, but I feel there is actually more room for him on SmackDown! than on RAW at the moment.

Here’s what I’d do if I were in charge:

Bring back the Cruiserweight Championship. This gives people like Curt Hawkins, Dolph Ziggler, Jimmy Wang Yang, Kung Fu Naki, Matt Hardy, Rey Mysterio, Slam Master J, The Hurricane, Tyson Kidd, Yoshi Tatsu, and Zack Ryder something to do on SmackDown.

Christian needs to go to SmackDown and get pushed.

Eventually, I’d turn Goldust into the creep he used to be.

Release the following people: Abraham Washingtion, Alicia Fox, Byron Saxton, Hornswoggle, Rosa Mendes, Santino Marella, Savannah, Tiffany, Tony Atlas, and Tyler Recks.

Probably would put Christian in Smackdown since he would have a better chance at getting a main event level push or at least an intresting feud/reuinion with Edge.

Josh Matthews to RAW just to help out the bland announcing team since he is a good announcer the WWE even if he normally is on the lower level shows like Velocity and ECW.

Ezekiel Jackson I could see going to RAW with Regal as a manager and maybe feuding with Sheamus assuming Sheamus still has the title when the feud begins. Gives a good excuse to have a unification type match if they feel like getting rid of the belt.

I guess no one is really sure how NXT is going to work but I just kinda assumed there would be matches on the program and that Matthews and Saxton would just roll over and call those matches.

I could see Washington doing his show on either program because there are so many big talents he probably start getting ring time

That's likely what will happen, but I hope that's not what we see. I hope we see Josh Mathews and Matt Striker calling the matches. A RAW brand play-by-play guy and a SmackDown! color analyst. I like Byron Saxton enough, but he could still perfect his craft a bit. Maybe have him do some SmackDown! commentary with Matt Striker for Superstars? Josh Mathews & Jerry Lawler can do the RAW Superstars matches.

Washington going to RAW would be the best bet, in my opinion. There he can do his usual shtick, and just have the RAW Guest Hosts on. Eventually, I'd like to see him become the full-time RAW General Manager (if they decide to end this Guest Host crap).
