i heard it was an ACCIDENT and that stone cold WAS NOT meant to get hit and thus NOT MEANT to bleed, instead he was supposed to end up making kane bleed, but the referee HAD TO call the match...
is there ANY truth to this??

I heard something similar with Syxx-Pac in WCW with the cruiserweight title in a match against Jericho.
I add my question to the thread.
Uhm, wrestlers always bleed from the forehead.
Could someone explain to me how would Kane do that, wearing the mask?
Also, every fucking inferno match, you knew Kane was gonna lose, cause he was wearing a (almost) full outfit which could easily be set ablaze as opposed to other guys' trunks.

Austin was quite clearly ment to lose. You can see him blading and throwing it out the ring.

If Austin had won, Kane would have had to set himself on fire. I think that stipulation is often forgotten

Add to that Kane saying if he lost he'd set himself on fire.

Because he was in the doghouse with CM Punk.

They had Taker cost Austin the match to set up their feud and begin the Brothers of Destruction team.
Wasn't Kane also co-champion when he & Undertaker pinned Stone Cold at the same time?
I think it was considered vacant at that point.

Yeah didn't Vince take the belt and tell Austin he'd never be champion again at the end of the show? And this lead to the Deadly Games tournament if I remember correctly?
And yeah, as for the first blood match, it was always designed for Kane to win. From the 'Kane will set himself on fire' stipulation, to Undertakers interference, to Kane having his usually uncovered arm covered up. The only part of his skin showing was his left hand. And a bleeding finger was never going to end the match.
