What is the difference between a no-clean flux and liquid rosin flux? Anyone?
No-clean flux can be used with a Mr.Fusion kit.

Judging from Google research, the difference is due to having to clean up the residue or not after use.

I always clean my residue straight after it comes out

IIRC, there are benefits to the rosin solder that make it worth the cleanup.
However, it seems the point's moot if his PS3 is now bricked.

Yea, too late.
You should not use flux with solder on electronics, clean the connections with copper wool or solvent and then solder.
Flux is for plumbing.
