Some suspect character design next to cool character design, it's a paradox for me. The engine seems to work more in line with brawl fighters than traditional, which often polarizes fans of the genre. I'm really taken by the character mechanics, though, these characters fight like how they look like they should (this isn't as common in fighters as you think). The chick with the book is fucking cool, and the gun slinger is actually using the damn thing as he should.
The visuals are bankrupt, even for Wii. But I'll be following this revamp. I'm not too familiar with the old series (never really liked it) but I'm ready to dive in the series if the game holds up.
