The Superstars
apron is still on so I think this was only for the live crowd. But, just in case, Batista came out and said that he's heading to Raw. Teddy Long came out and said that he can go but tonight he will defend the WWE Title vs. Edge.

After that, they changed over the ring apron.

Chris Jericho cut a promo saying he's the best and didn't deserve what happened on Monday. Edge comes out and talked about how he's always spearing Jericho. Jericho hit Edge with the mic but Edge speared him again.

Dolph Ziggler d. John Morrison & R-Truth in a Triple Threat to qualify for MITB. Morrison hit Starship Pain on Truth but Ziggler pulled Morrison out and covered Truth.

Michelle McCool d. Mickie James to win the Women's Title. Vickie Guerrero was the referee. She slapped James while she had McCool rolled up and McCool hit a head kick to win.

Kane d. Drew McIntyre with a kick to the head while Drew was on the ground to qualify for MITB. Drew had cut a promo before the match saying he'd stay undefeated. I guess not.

Miz came out and cut a promo saying that he and The Big Show need opponents for WrestleMania. He told Teddy Long to work on that. Long came out and said that since Show isn't here tonight will be singles action. It's Miz vs. Edge tonight.

Shelton Benjamin d. CM Punk to qualify for MITB. Rey distracted Punk, who turned around into Paydirt.

Edge d. Miz with The Spear. It was a good back and forth match.

Edge said that he doesn't want to wait. He wants Batista for the dark main event now!

Edge d. Batista by DQ when Jericho hit The Codebreaker. Matt Hardy, CM Punk and Kane all also hit finishers on each other for fun I guess.

Miz vs Edge sounds good.

This is Sheltons year to win MITB!

Shelton, Kane and Ziggler in MITB.

Seems strange that Morrison, R-Truth, and Mcintyre all had qualifying matches and lost.
That most likely means they're not going to be in the match. Usually guys don't get second chances at a spot.

Perhaps they have something else planned, like a triple threat? I have a hard time believing those 3 guys wouldn't be in MITB unless they have something else planned.

Punk too but then again the liklihood of him winning it 3 years in a row was slim anyway.

Jeritron

It's not suprising that Punk lost at all since they're building a fued with him and Rey Mysterio

Kane in MITB again but no Punk?

Well I guess Rey v. Punk at Mania should still be decent

Morrison not in MITB? WTF?

Jeritron
02-24-2010, 03:04 AM
You act as though he won't be on the card. I highly doubt they'd make room for Shelton and not put Morrison in unless they had something planned for him.

Probably and IC title match, which will be nice to see on the Wrestlemania card for a change. Especially considering it would be featuring rising stars and last more than 5 seconds.

Hmmm, was just looking forward to him being in it this year. Could put up with it if he was in an IC title match instead.

Jeritron
02-24-2010, 03:32 AM
or he could win a last chance battle royal.

Guys don't usually get second qualifier matches, but that could happen.

Wouldn't suprise me if he was the last to qualify for MITB, while Mcintyre and R-Truth go on to fued for the IC belt.

Kane in MITB has ruined it for me. :nono:

I like when it's all young guys, who are generally small and highflying, but also unpredictable, like at WM24.

Kane just doesn't suit the criteria for me.

Maybe a Morrison/R-Truth v Miz-Show title match? Sounds kind of lame, but I wouldn't be shocked.

Would a Fatal Four Way Match for the IC belt work?

Sounds like you may be more suited for X-Division matches in TNA

Wrestlemania 24, and every MITB has featured veterans and non-high fliers

Did Lashley, Finlay, Mark Henry, and Flair fit the criteria for you?

Jeritron
02-24-2010, 03:51 AM
Kofi, Bourne and Tatsu will probably all qualify before long. Maybe even Morrison.

How many young high-fliers does the match need?

Maybe they'll have an Intercontinental Title triple threat match which is actually probably what you're talking about in terms of a triple threat.

Kane's been in like 3 MITB matches already. He's proven he can do those matches.

Just had SmackDown spoiled for me on another site.

So I guess I can post in this thread now. But anyway, I'm a bit surprised McIntyre lost and that his streak is over. But I'm judging by that, that the Intercontinental Title will be defended at WrestleMania this year. (Hopefully, in a match that's longer than 21 seconds)

WrestleMania hasn't seen a proper Intercontinental Title match since WrestleMania X8. :(

I guess we'll have a new Number 1 Contender named soon then.

I would love to see a Morrison/Truth/McIntyre triple threat IC title match than Morrison/Truth vs Showmiz

Okay I don't neccessarily mean 'young' guys, generally people who aren't OLD and can still move. 24 had Morrison, MVP, Carlito, Benjamin, Jericho, Punk and Kennedy, which for me, is as perfect as it could get.

Lashley, Finlay, Henry nor Flair were in that match.

Rammsteinmad

If it was up to me it'd be Morrison, Christian, Kingston, Tatsu, Bourne, Benjamin, Carlito and probably Matt Hardy.

Kane would be better off with McIntyre in a Fatal four way for the IC title (as someone suggested above).

Dolph Ziggler d. John Morrison & R-Truth in a Triple Threat to qualify for MITB. Morrison hit Starship Pain on Truth but Ziggler pulled Morrison out and covered Truth.
So they are going to keep 2 of the guys I could actually see winning the MITB off the card at WM? That's kind of stupid. Morrison would have been a sure fire bet to win, and as over as Truth is, he could be a great contender in the match. If WWE keeps both of these guys off the WM card, they are retarded. Maybe they'll do a triple threat IC Title match between these 2 and Drew McIntyre? Which leads me to this.

Kane d. Drew McIntyre with a kick to the head while Drew was on the ground to qualify for MITB. Drew had cut a promo before the match saying he'd stay undefeated. I guess not.
So much for being undefeated. I'm really hoping the Drew losing leads to a triple threat match at WM. I really think leaving him, Morrison, and Truth off WM is a bad move, but we will see.

Shelton Benjamin d. CM Punk to qualify for MITB. Rey distracted Punk, who turned around into Paydirt.
Loving that we will get Shelton in MITB. He's kind of the staple of the match. MITB wouldn't feel right without him IMO. The fact he beat Punk to get in was huge. Loving that he's on SD now as we may get to see a Haas/Benjamin fued. Crossing fingers.

Michelle McCool d. Mickie James to win the Women's Title. Vickie Guerrero was the referee. She slapped James while she had McCool rolled up and McCool hit a head kick to win.
It's official. We have all heel champs now in the WWE. Has this ever happened before?

I'm not sure how I feel about Morrison and Truth facing each other in a triple threat match at WM simply because Truth is way more over at this point and that makes Morrison look bad. At least that's what happened at Elimination Chamber. Truth, Rey, and Taker got huge pops while Morrison's was less than stellar.

But from a wrestling standpoint I'm all for it.

Who says that John Morrison and R-Truth are going to be left off the WrestleMania card? They will likely either face Big Show & Miz for the Unified WWE Tag Team Championship, or one will challenge for the IC Title while the other finds a new partner, or something.

Christian vs. Dolph Ziggler vs. Kane vs. Shelton Benjamin is reminding me of the first-ever Money in the Bank Ladder Match right now. I don't know what quality it is exactly, but I think it might have something to do with it not just being high-flyers involved. All four men are guys I can imagine doing something crazy, but they are just four guys I'd like to see wrestle each other in any sort of match on any given night. Those are the sort of men I would like to see win the World Championship; and that is what Money in the Bank is about.

With half the match set, I'm willing to bet that Kofi Kingston finds his way in (right now I'm not sure who I would bet on -- Christian or Kofi). As the WWE loves him, and he could play a power counter-part to Kane, Ezekiel Jackson making the match is not out of the question. The last two guys are pretty tricky, but I think that Jack Swagger could find his way in, as the WWE does not seem against using him anymore. I still wouldn't rule out John Morrison as a "Last Chance" entrant. Or Evan Bourne, because the WWE loves showcasing him. MVP and Mark Henry cannot be forgotten either. They are both veterans of the match, and the WWE loves giving them PPV paydays, as they are 2-for-2 in PPV appearances this year.

I predict Kofi, Bourne and MVP will all qualify.
I'm torn between a few guys for that 8th spot, and it really does depend on what they're doing with other matches on the card.

Money in the Bank will have at least two heels, I think. Keep that in mind. Heels that could fit Money in the Bank: William Regal, Zack Ryder, Ezekiel Jackson. I think one of those will definitely make the match.

Sheamus for the win.

Kane would have won MITB if Undertaker was still champ. It'd be the only legitimate way to end his streak.

set-up: HBK barely loses his WM rematch and Kane runs in and steals his thunder by hitting a Tombstone for a cheap and quick win.

Now it's just going to be weird.

I think Morrison and R-Truth will decide to challenge ShoMiz for the belts at WM...just a gut feeling.

Problem is, that also leaves Drew McIntyre with nobody to defend the IC Title against. So, I'm guessing they do a SmackDown last chance battle royal involving everybody who hasn't had a chance to qualify for the match yet. However, Vickie decides that since he's the IC Champ, Drew McIntyre deserves another chance. So, he gets entered in and he wins the battle royal. His feud with Kane can be played up more in MITB.

Over on Raw, Kofi Kingston is probably a near-lock. MVP is also a most-likely. That leaves one spot, and since we're down to two shows I think they'd want 4 per show to make it seem even. I'd definitely give the spot to Evan Bourne, but Mark Henry seems more like someone WWE would enter in.

I can't remember where I said it, but I could see The Great Khali getting a shot at the Intercontinental Title. Or even Matt Hardy.
